It seems democrats lost a lot of money while Trump was president. At least a few of you mentioned this.

Not me. Did you all hide your money in a hole or something? It was a great financial period for me. It really confuses me how rough a time you all had.

I know, right? I actually went back and looked thinking maybe I'm crazy or something. But no. It was awesome.

Like I said in the other thread, the Dow went up 54% during the Trump Presidency - 10 points higher than the Biden Presidency, and without the inflation.

TDS is a powerful thing.  It has turned some once-smart people into babbling idiots.  Sad.

The Dems hate to bring inflation into the conversation. It confuses them.

My 401K did well under Trump, but has done better under Biden.

I have done pretty well with AI based stocks during the Biden admin, but overall I found it a lot easier to profit on a wider range of sectors during the Trump admin.  401K and IRA have gone up substantially during both but % wise, more during Trump. There have also seemed to be more dips during the Biden admin which I don't worry about for the retirement accounts and actually enjoy for my active trading purposes.  But cost of living is up substantially more and the rate of my income increasing compared to the rate of cost of living increasing was much more in line with each other from 2017-2020

My question for you would be...  what "actual policies" does Trump have that you think will fight inflation?  Just curious.  Words are just words, unless the actual person can get it done.  He can't.

Luck or you changed your investment allocation/strategy to be more aggressive.  All the indices were better under Trump, all of them.  That's not debatable.

Musk appointed to head up a new Efficiency Commission.  Hard to argue making government and government spending more efficient doesn't lead to less spending and lower inflation.

I agree with you.   But Musk might be the last person I would invite to take on that task.

DJIA they are like neck and neck. Let’s hope for a nice end of year run like Trump had after he got bounced.

So first of all, this thread and specifically my post is discussing the past. 2017-2020 under Trump and 2021-2024 under Biden.  My post was detailing how I did during both time periods and the fact that for me, even though it's been largely fine under Biden, it was better under Trump.   It's not a Trump vs. Harris post.

So I don't really understand why you are asking about Trumps policies for the upcoming election.... I assume you are not asking about his policies from his last term because you said "will fight inflation"  which insinuates fighting inflation moving forward.

My answer to that needless question would start with illegal immigration, since that has a big trickle down effect on inflation in our country.  I am also a fan of his proposed tax breaks on overtime pay, tips and SS income.

My answer to this would be a global shutdown really messed up economies in a variety of ways. Ours faired better than pretty much everyone else.

DJI

1/20/2017 Open 19,795

1/21/2021 Open 31,198 up 57.6%

10/28/2024 Open 42,264 up 35.4%

Kuck for Kamala says that's neck and neck.

It's all he has left in life it seems. All democrats live their days praying 24x7 Trump doesn't win because they will emotionally crack if he wins. Like, they will need extra therapy to hopefully cope with it.

They are weak mentally and physically. The most pathetic humans on the planet bar none.

Who cares?  What are the chances it goes up another 20% in two and a half months?  That's what HAS to happen to be "neck and neck"

Look, you've repeatedly said you don't spend much thought on your posts here.  That's usually your excuse when you say something stupid. But, I know you like to make trades and do your own finances.  You'll be much better off if you figure out why you look at the market with bias.

What do you mean who cares. Seems Donald losing was the best thing for it 😂

Looks like someone just did the math. It’s neck and neck today which is what I said dope.

Go fock yourself 😂

4th sentence:

Without acknowledging the president has very little effect on the market (you seem to think they do) we're discussing if it did better under Trump or Biden.  It's either under Trump or it's not.  You want to pick and choose.  Just admit your bias, it's ok, we all know.  I mean you're not selling/getting conservative just because Trump is going to win are you?

Lets not forget Build Back Better would have closed the backdoor and mega backdoor Roth "loopholes".  A complete disaster for investors.

I am not selling based on a President. I will look at sectors and bet a little more on certain areas perhaps.

The markets have been amazing for a decade and a half, the vast majority of that is under socialist leadership in the WH who are trying to ruin the country, destroy the free markets!1!1, what have you.
