artista928 10 Posted November 22, 2024 Good to hear. Continued well wishes. I'm 9 years out now. I have neuropathy sprinkled in with occasional pins & needles sensations but other that, doing ok. My mom's cousin passed from cancer last Sat after a 2 year battle so there are reminders as to how blessed we are for continuing to be cancer free. My dad had PLS which turned to ALS & after 7 tortured years for him, he passed last year, 2 weeks before my bday. With the help of my bro (who gave up the last couple of years of his life to become dad's caregiver 24/7 since sending him to a home was out & all the caregivers we had hired sucked), he signed my bday card 1 hour before he passed. Such a long devasting difficult disease with no hope. Aging parents is tough. I'd give my life to have him back well. He was healthy, no issues..docs were amazed he was so healthy. He took great care of himself & played tennis all the time. Then one day he fell. There began 7 years of hell for us all. Continued well wishes to you. I was just down there this week around lunch time for a class in the ASU Health South building (roughly Fillmore/Taylor and 3rd/2nd St). If not, no worries. dealing with fracture of L4 and L5. we think it started freshman or sophomore year with a cheer accident. she also played lacrosse in the spring so likely further aggravated it. it was mis-diagnosed and she played through a lot of pain and ultimately sat out her senior year (would have been 4 years of varsity).
