To be honest, the only Superbowl that matters is the last one. Who cares what happened in 2012? Nobody remembers or cares

Yeah. No one remembers 18-1. You’re being clownish now.

14 years ago? Tampa Bay says hold my beer 🍺

Recency bias?  Is that what you think?

13 NFL Championships. 13.  Count'em.

You win TWO and suddenly think you're all that and a bag of chips?   That might work against vikings fans, but know your place when you're trying to stack yourself up against the Packers.  ;)

You care, nobody else does. I have no problem with it, you're a Giants fan, you should remember it. It means nothing to the rest of us.

I'm already over the Eagles Superbowl win and onto this season. That's how it works when you have something to look forward to.

Good on the NFL to shut down these crybaby whiners. At least those that voted no.

When a team has an all pro kick returner they just paid and a team submits something to change the kickoff rules each year....they havent cried about taking away their strength.

Some how Philthy and their "tush push" is sacred.

I'm not sure what the issue is, regarding the Eagles.  I think it's overblown.  The Eagles converted on 83% of their attempts, the NFL league-wide (excluding the Eagles), converted on 71%.  So, out of 10 attempts, the Eagles convert one more time than the rest of the league.  That's not a big deal.  I think if other teams actually did it and practiced it more, they'd be just as successful... so, a whole ONE more successful attempt out of 10.

I personally don't think the play should be allowed because the person with the ball isn't even running.  The players pushing the QB, lift him off the ground.  Why is that even legal?

It’s focking boring. Now the rest of the league will copy and it will get even more boring.

It's definitely boring, I agree. But it's part.of the game now. Defend better and don't let teams get in that situation.

Is the usual QB sneak exciting?

It’s not like it’s some genius play only the eagles can do. Now you’ll see everyone doing it and it will evolve into Tight ends and running backs taking the snap. Awesome.

I hear ya but I don't think it's much different from a fans perspective than watching a fat ass AJ Dillon pound it in from the half yard line. Again,  I couldn't care less one way or the other. Do away with it for all I care. The Eagles o-line will get a yard every time anyhow

You can’t use percentages when gauging this play. 1st and goal from the 1 and 4th and goal are far apart. As a matter of fact, a coach would be stuoid to try and defend it on 1st and goal from the one. Just let them score if there is time left. I’m not risking my D players for such a low risk chance.

I think they should have a dwarf they can toss over the pile.

I found Bart Starr's sneak in the Ice Bowl exciting.  I note that Chuck Mercein did not push him from behind.  He did it on his own with great blocks from his line, maybe Jerry Kramer, and Ken Bowman.

See, that's exactly why I don't understand why the tush push is even legal to begin with.  What you stated is illegal.  What's the difference between carrying and throwing?  In both cases, the person moving the ball isn't on the ground.

What a thing of beauty it was when Walter Payton took flight.

Marcus Allen had the leap down as well.

As a Packer fan i had to give Payton his due.  He was a good to great back in pretty much every game he played, but he was otherwordly against the Packers and there is no denying that.  Hell, he even blocked a kick against the Packers after he past away.  That is performance.

The play should be illegal, but whatever. Wait til Hurts gets damn near decapitated and misses a bunch of games on one of these plays, and the NFL will change their mind.

Agreed.  I don't want anyone to get hurt playing football, but in this case I certainly hope it happens because Eagles fans are the absolute WORST fanbase not just in the NFL, but in ALL of professional sports.

I mean, I don't want guys to get hurt either, but I'll be pretty pissed if someone like Josh Allen (or the Vikes new savior, JJ McCarthy) got hurt instead of Hurts.

Fuckit, who am I kidding? It will definitely be McCarthy that gets decapitated and has his career ruined. The NFL changes rules only after the Vikings suffer ridiculous, humiliating defeats due to stupid rules.

Let's face it, the League has not done anything to the Vikes nearly as bad as did Mike Lynn.

Or Tony Orlando for that matter.
