It tends to favor owners with access to more teams in general or just luck of how the day off falls. I had one player Monday because aside from the rays being off I also didn’t have access to NYY, Miami, Pitt, Arizona, CHC.. all fairly important to me. Had those teams been playing and then off on a different day, I could have fielded a full roster using all Rays that day. So yes I was lucky that your full Monday roster didn’t go nuts because you’ll have a full or close to it on Thursday, as you said. WhiteWonder 2,877 Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM I’m going to rant now just so it’s clear that I recognize both teams playing in the title game are dealing with the same issues. since I have not been in a title week in a long time, and don’t remember it being this bad, we have to shorten the regular season next year. I’m literally having starting pitchers, aces, go 3 innings because their team is either eliminated or already clinched with nothing to play for. I’ve got stud hitters sitting for the same reason, scrambling to find scrubs to put in to get some production. Basically playing a title week with nothing close to the team that got me here and I assume the Padres are in the same situation. Do we play every other team a certain amount of times? There are 22 regular season weeks so I guess we do play every other team twice but how did this work when we had 14 teams? 16? I don't even pay much attention to who I am going up against each regular season week. I just try to win the most categories to add to my tally. i think the format is great. Last time I was in a title game i lost to burt, i dont remember how many years ago that was but i definitely don't remember this same issue. I'm sure we had a player being rested here or there, or a pitcher being saved for the post season but now even eliminated teams are just shutting guys down to not risk injury for next year. Curious if other recent title game contestants felt the same.... I brought it up now so if/when I lose no one thinks i'm complaining for myself. Then I add and play him today and he cost me the loss cat and you flipped the WHIP. This theory generally does give some balance to teams that don't have the star players available. Batters Stat Categories:Runs (R), Singles (1B), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Errors (E) Pitchers Stat Categories:Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Quality Starts (QS) Also if we do try to expand again and can't find new teams from solid members at FFT today I had introduced this concept and showed the league to 2 friends here. A Cubs and an Astros fan. Both interested. Especially the Cubs fan who every time we see each other which is every couple months (our wives work together) he's asked how the leagues going.
