Condensed version of the story:

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Tennessee had 21 tractor trailer loads of food (377,000 pounds in all) that were scheduled to be delivered through April and July canceled last week. The cancellation came about because the Commodities Credit Corporation is paused right now funding wise and pending federal review. The cancellation will affect programs like Mobile Pantry in the area and Harvest to Home- an organization which provides food and meals to people undergoing ongoing medical treatments). The Food Bank is currently trying to find ways to replace the cancelled deliveries but that is a lot of food and proteins to replace. Additionally, often the food from the USDA is more nutritious due to regulations that are followed. 

This also comes as a fallout of the 1 billion dollars in programs that the federal government has slashed that was earmarked for food bank and school programs for putting locally grown produce in schools and food bank programs.

Look- whoever is doing this, hopefully they figure this out and stop it. Republican or Democrat this is bad policy and is creating unnecessary issues for people who need the food the most.

Beats the hell out of my salary, when I was making a salary.  Now I'm living on savings, saving which took a bit of a hit today.  That's life.  The markets go up, they go down, they go round and round.  I would prefer otherwise, but the world cares not what I prefer.

So let’s see, the guys that are charged with rooting out waste, fraud and abuse put a pause on the commodities credit corporation , but of course the centrist Mooney automatically thinks it’s because they are just mean, not that there just might be waste fraud or abuse, and the red state deserves it.
