Congrats!

It's crazy how close slots 2-7 were, all within two shots!

I agree with @BiffTannen on keeping this tourney next year.  Tough layouts like this make for a lot of movement over the tourney.

Also @WhiteWonder, I sent you a PP request for the $90.  I think that was your preferred method, and that I'm otherwise paid up for the year.  If either of these assumptions are wrong, let me know.  I can do Venmo, but I prefer PP.

PP is my preference just because I can keep all the funds sitting there separately. No need to send a request. I'll get to sending out the payments later today or tomorrow.

Also, assuming I participate next season and if I have to play banker again, I am doing away with using winnings to pay for future events. Everyone will pay for the upcoming event and winners will be paid out fully (with only the Spedex portion being held).   Collecting the $ and paying it out is not difficult, but as just a player you send in your entry fee and if you win something, you get a tangible benefit (either a cash payment or future payments checked off) but as the person holding all the $, even if you win something, it's just less that you are sending back out. You already collected all the money, so that little rush of "I won!" doesn't feel like anything. I collected a big chunk from Ed when I took over but that was so long ago.   So my preference would be a collection and payout for each event.

NP on the payment method or timing, whenever you get to it is fine.

And whatever you prefer for payouts/ins next year to make it convenient is fine.

Also, please don't edjr on us next season.  Your current season seems like one long string of bad beats.  None of us is a super genius on this stuff, but somebody has to lose, and this has been your year.  :dunno:

#edjr would be quitting mid season. I would never do that.  I also don't care about winning or losing... I did a lot of winning in... 2023? The last two seasons not so much.  For me, it's more the utter lack of even being in contention.  Like some of you say, it makes you hate certain golfers. I find myself trying to watch on Sunday but ultimately feeling like "I don't want to watch this shit"

Cleaning out my bag and found a case of PV1s that must be 15 years old or so. Still good?  Getting different results on the Googles.

If they were in a dry place you should be okay. Problems come when they sit in an damp area for a long time.

Cam Smith (who I grew to be a big fan of) was world number 2 in July of 2022.  Left for LIV in August.  He is currently 31 years old.  He currently sits 150 to 1 at the US Open.

Sad.

They definitely will lose something.  And 15 years is a bit.  Probably wouldnt be able to tell the distance loss tho.  Like Biff said conditions can F them quicker.  Not only dry but say you have them in a real hot place all summer for 15 summers?  Yea thats not good.

How do you clean out your bag and find 15 year old pro vs?  Your bag is that old?  Unless it was a previous bag.

It's a big pro size bag. I got the clubs in 2013, Ping G20s.  But I remember that box being from a tournament in 2010.

What do you think about the single can of PBR I found at the very bottom of the cooler pocket?  Could be anywhere between 2013 and 2024.  It's chilling right now. I'll report back.

If its the 12th beer drank during a hot drucken round, I see no issue.

I’m good with all that and don’t want you to quit either. The first thing I plan on suggesting in the winter meetings thread is to scale back a bit. 8 events and back to $25.

I'll report back.

The beer was skunky, but at 34F it went down fine alone with 6 or 8 others.

Shot bogey golf today, no noticeable difference in the balls for a hack like me. We played our new country club course for the first time..it was glorious.  2some ahead of us played fast and got way out ahead. Single kid behind us walking. Going on weekdays is like having the course to yourself apparently. It's nice taking all the time you want on each shot. Love this course.
