The DOI included arbitrary laws by the King as well as the King’s halting of immigration. The 1789 Constitution was a clarification & strengthening of the executive viz the AOC, however the executive was considerably limited to reassure those who favored more disparate powers. A good rule of thumb when you hear about these poor old ladies. Read far enough into the story to read where there is a valid deportation order that was ignored. Usually repeatedly.

From 10 years ago (Eriksen) or 11 years ago (Mayorga), both of which had other documentation since then saying they were legal.

Also @jonnyutah, the point remains, if they’re doing a lot of “catching” people at scheduled meetings, they’re going to be catching a lot of people that aren’t violent criminals.   I get the opinion of people that don’t care and just want all the illegals gone,  but one has to wonder if they’re even catching that many of the actual violent criminals.

There is not other paperwork that says they were legal. There are things their lawyers argue imply that they are now legal. But there has not been one case where the order for removal has been reversed. 

This would be like somebody escaping jail and then five years later managing to obtain a drivers license. Then going in for renewal of that license next time around and getting nabbed. 

Lawyer would argue, he thought it was legal to be out and about because they gave him a drivers license!

They are grabbing people with valid deportation orders because they are easier to take swift action on.
