Najee Harris injured in Fourth of July fireworks incident

Recommended Posts

I think hes good so long as they keep him away from the fireworks.

personally I figured the season would start as a committee and then whoever plays better would gradually take over the backfield.

Harris is a one thousand yard rb, if he’s healthy I see a RBBC, probably Harris being the 1b imo.

This injury is super weird.  What's up with this dude's eyeball?

I mean why does his work load need to be monitored?  Like if he gets too much work, his eye will explode?  I usually hear about work loads when it's someone returning from a soft tissue injury that can be reaggravated.

if it is a detached retina, I think it can detach again with a hard hit if he comes back too early.

that is the only possible thing I can think of.   That and perhaps him not being in game shape.   so the reps need limiting because hes incapable of doing a full workload in week 1.

personally I think its an excuse to give him less reps so they can see what the kid they drafted can do.

we shall see.   could also be a smokescreen.  coaches love to play misdirection with their comments to keep people from guessing what they actually will do.    especially this time of year.

so I wouldnt put a lot of stock into the comments.

I think if his retina can detach with a hard hit, he shouldn't play.  Pretty crazy to be gambling with eyesight.

So, Harris has a one-year deal or roughly $5 million, $3,75 of it signing bonus. Hampton has a 4-year rookie deal at $17. 5 million with a $9.5 million signing bonus.

Hampton drafted this year in round one after averaging 5.7 yds/carry over three years. The last two it was 5.9 yds/carry.

Harris has no history with Harbaugh. He's 27 and Hampton is 22.

Harris was nothing special with Pittsburgh and getting older will not change that.

I'll go out on a limb and say Hampton is the starter and Harris a one-year rental back up.

Harris, 1 carry 5 yards.

Remember when people were worried about Najee cutting into Hampton's production?

Tyler Conklin had just as many carries as Najee.

I went with strong WR in my Auction league when a bit tipsy. Glad I started Tuten over Harris for Week 1. My other RB is Pollard. I got stuck with Aiyuk because I forgot he is injured. Might drop Aiyuk after Week 1 or Harris.

I wouldn’t jump of the Harris wagon so soon, he hasn’t been healthy, but his production will improve.
