As a Washington fan, I’d move them out of the top 10.

To my thinking, there are some 4-1 teams I have behind them but I just like Washington more. I wasn't punishing them for missing Jayden Daniels vs Atlanta and they do have an impressive W against the Chargers to go with that loss to Green Bay.

Maybe, after watching what happened last year as a Lions fan, this is a team that I give more respect to than you think I should. I'd rather the Lions run across every team from 7-32 in the playoffs, as well as San Francisco and Green Bay, rather than deal with Washington again.

Jets should be 32. I have no desire to start a separate thread about them so this seems like as good a place as any to rant.

Woody Johnson is one of the worst owners in all of sports, let alone football who seemingly gets very little criticism in the NY media market. It's insane. Fans wanted a fresh start and a culture change and many fans didn't want to go "back" to Rex Ryan because they wanted to move forward. Even though Rex gave them the only success they have experienced in the last 15 years and "moving forward" has gotten them nothing but the likes of Adam Gase, Robert Saleh, first time GMs, and losses. I loved Aaron Glenn as a player but his defenses never ranked in the top 20 in Detroit.

I was hopeful that he had the right qualities to be a Dan Campbell type leader of men and change the culture and hold players accountable. Rex was able to do most of that (maybe not holding players accountable often enough). Another criticism of Rex was that his teams were undisciplined. Too many penalties and turnovers. Through 5 weeks, all I see is undisciplined, sloppy play for the Glenn era Jets. I see us cutting Xavier Gipson (finally) and replacing him with a guy off the Bengals practice squad who we then cut for his mistakes.... I though Mougey came up through the scouting ranks!

These guys were Woody Johnson typical hires. First timers who won't stand up to him when he inevitably starts to meddle.

I wanted them to draft Jaxson Dart... no idea if he was even on their radar for a trade up back into round 1 but the Giants did. They want Justin Fields to be the next Mayfield/Darnold but unless you can coach him into better accuracy and more importantly better reading of a defense, that's never going to happen. Likely would have been better off with an old gun slinger for a 1 year bridge option.

Well, I got shot down earlier when I asked if Glenn is on the hot seat.   Seems that seat may be warming up more and more.  The Jets blow.

There’s no way. If they need to fire someone in a desperation move to show some life it will be Steve wilks.

I am going to say the needle has moved off the "no way" position at this point.  And will keep moving to "way" if this Jets team continues to play like this

Well yeah the needle is always technically moving I just don’t see any realistic reason they will fire him in year 1. Unless he pulls some urban Meyer shiit. They can go 0-17 and he won’t get fired until after the season.

Agree on Glenn. What were expectations this season?  Theyve been in some games.  He will have next year.

The issue with that is pairing a coach on a hot seat plus staff and then drafting your QB.  Its a bad way to do things.   Whoever the OC is next year they cant flip flop them to start a franchise QBs career.  They need something halfway stable in place once the new QB enters thr building.

Oh oh oh>>let me clarify.  I do not believe it will happen mid season.

I did not want them to hire Glenn but yeah, I think they could go 0-17 and he will still be coaching next season. Technically you can never know what Woody Johnsons line of thinking is but Glenn came from detroit and they had a horrible start with Campbell. So I would at least hope he understands it may take some time. Fortunately for the Lions they had already traded for Goff.

This is also why I was not happy with the Justin Fields signing. Im sure they were hoping to catch the next Baker or Darnold but I wanted them to draft Dart. Not with pick 6, I was initially hoping in round 2 and then as we got closer to the draft I assumed they would need to trade back into round 1. Sucks that the Giants did what I wanted. ...  so I expect them to draft a QB in 2026 and pretty much set the tone that Glenn is not on the hot seat.

Hmmm......well after that game, i think Glenn might be over his head

That first half was one of the weirdest I'd ever seen. Then, amazingly, the second half was just as weird as the first.

The Jets had a real shot at winning that game. Denver was giving it to them. It was there for the taking. If they had any semblance of offense whatsoever... just a little... just a morsel..... just a whiff ...

13-10 on the road in arrowhead against a good team?

I'm not saying you're not good.   I just don't think you look like the best team in the league.

Of course, I'm not sure who is, either :dunno:

Seems like every year, the Lions secondary sucks

Don't you also have a bunch of injuries in the secondary? Listening to the broadcast they keep referring to it :dunno:

Both starting corners out, both starting safeties with limiting injuries.

Against Mahomes, that aint good
