Trump has over 1500 pardons this term alone. The next highest total for any other President is 300.

Pardons usually come at the end of terms. Guy has 1500 pardons in the first 11 months of his term.

And people are genuinely like “pardons are transactional by their nature!”. And yet your guy has 1500 of them in his first year. More than the last 5 Presidents combined.

Second, it's not whataboutism.  Comparing and contrasting your behavior towards Trump vs. other presidents is exactly how one would would show TDS.  If you had a history of complaining about pardons from other presidents, it wouldn't be TDS.  Get it?  I'm not confident.

I would classify the most corrupt pardons to be of those whose crimes helped you get into office. I mean, that’s basically the definition of corruption

Trump pardoned multiple people who were found to have cheated in the 2016 election campaign.  Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, George Papadopoulos… Even Republicans called out these pardons as being corrupt. I thought the Clinton Marc Rich pardon was bad… these were even worse!

Comparing those to Biden pardoning his son for putting a false answer on a gun background check and avoiding taxes (which he later paid back) is silly. No matter what anybody thinks of Trump or Biden, comparing the level of corruption in their pardons is absurd.

Furthermore, Biden pardoned a number of people who had not committed any crimes. He did so due to Trump threatening politically-motivated prosecutions of them. Lo and behold, he was right to do so because Trump has already launched multiple questionable investigations and prosecutions of political opponents.

As for the Jan 6 pardons, Trump is only in competition with Andrew Johnson when it comes to the number of traitors pardoned. He’s got a long way to go to catch up though.
