The average weight for an adult male in the U.S. is around 199.8 pounds, with significant variation by age, peaking in the 30-39 age bracket (around 208 lbs) and decreasing in older groups, according to recent CDC data (2015-2018). It's important to remember this average isn't necessarily a "healthy" weight for everyone, as individual factors like height, build, and age matter.

Average Weights by Age Group (Approximate):

  • 50-59 years: 202.5 lbs
  • 60-69 years: 201.2 lbs
  • 70-79 years: 193.4 lbs
  • 80+ years: 177.5 lbs (lowest average)
  • 20-29 years: 188.6 lbs
  • 30-39 years: 208.1 lbs (highest average)
  • 40-49 years: 206.9 lbs

Same. 5'9. weighed myself this morning. 182.  I was 220 when I was 22

I went from a size 30/30 jeans waist junior year to squeezing into 38/30

I still feel fat thought. PTSD

I’m just under 6 feet and weigh a little over 185 now. 175 is my ideal weight - I’ll get back there in the New Year. I try not to worry around XMas. 🎄

We all need to start somewhere.  That's something you can build on.

5'11, between 170-175, just measured 172.5.  32" waist.  I was maybe more like 180 out of college, but I also had more muscle then.

I did go through a fatter stage in my 30s and early 40s -- around 193 for years and thought that was normal, until I ballooned up over 200, which for my frame is not a good look.  That was around when I thought the 34" waist pants were a little snug, time for some 36s!  We just went through a bunch of old pictures for a slideshow we did at our party this past weekend, my wife was like "dood, I didn't realize how fat you were back then!"

You're expecting me to fit this perfect mass of masculine muscle and sinew and testosterone into a 3X?

C'mon, man! Someone that can bench press a Corolla shouldn't have their clothing choices limited by weaklings.

That's a good point. My buddy I was best friends with in High School went on to be a big roid head. He was like 6 feet tall, jacked. He probably wore 2x. We played softball and his nickname was "Big Sexy" (kevin nash)

Is this a dating site now? I’m 7 feet tall, 140 lbs, and I like long walks on the beach.

Well you already post here, which is essentially the gateway to hell. It's gotta just be a short walk around the corner from here.

We'll do a geek meet there in a few years.

I met Bert a few years ago. It had been 15 years since I met other geeks.

I'm always up for flying long distances to meet strange men

Lemme know if you're ever in the mood to be even colder and come to MN. I'll keep the gimp suit shined for ya!

I got invited to go there many, many years ago by some girl who posted here. I think her name was Jesse or something close to that. She ended up being a heffer, so I declined.
