Are we at war with Venezuela yet?

Recommended Posts

The authentic joy Venezuelan people are displaying is what going through dictatorship and oppression looks like.  While here we have blue hairs sky screaming because they dont like Trump and act like they are in some bad situation.  People around the world in these types of countries have to shake their heads and laugh at hysterical lefties who claim to have it so bad here in America.

No we didn't rearrange the entire country.  We kidnapped the leader.  The new leader is in place and the entire infrastructure is the same.

No, we're concerned that the US broke international law and we now run another country that will take vast amounts of effort resources and boots on the ground to run.

Your fake joy for Venezuelans didn't apply to the Venezuelans here that were forced to leave.

No, their military is no match for ours.

I love watching you support the invasion and occupation of another country.

Not for long

I agree that at some point the US is going to install the new leadership that we want.  That's a year or two away.  Until that happens not much is gonna change.  Also in order to get there we will likely see more bloodshed.  As I correctly stated, the existing government is not going to just roll over and let Chevron start stealing their oil.

The Venezuelan people have been begging for your so called "invasion".

We know you're a Russian bot but does it sadden you that the oil gets controlled by the US now?

It is interesting that she is saying Maduro is still the legitimate President and condemns the US’s actions. I wonder if some more force might be necessary to remove her as well, and not “jUsT tWeNtY mInUtEs”

I think it's wrong for a country to invade another sovereign country and steal their resources, even if it's my own.

Exactly.  Most force, more money, this thing is far from over.

It's also worth noting that while the Venezuelan people hated Maduro and are happy he's gone, they also don't want to be an American colony.  They want freedom and that is a large task despite all the maga d sucking going on.

@TimHauck

Good read on what the next few years look like.  Trump didn't like Machado, the actual winner of the last election, and instead chose Rodriguez thinking that she will allow us to take the oil.  Publicly this looks like a mistake but maybe she's singing a different tune behind the scenes.  Also wonder how much money she needs to be paid off by the US for her to roll over.

So that's the plan for a year or two.  The Maduro regime is still in power.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/04/world/americas/trump-venezuela-leader-rodriguez-machado.html

Weeks earlier, U.S. officials had already settled on an acceptable candidate to replace Mr. Maduro, at least for the time being: Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, who had impressed Trump officials with her management of Venezuela’s crucial oil industry.

The people involved in the discussions said intermediaries persuaded the administration that she would protect and champion future American energy investments in the country.

“I’ve been watching her career for a long time, so I have some sense of who she is and what she’s about,” said one senior U.S. official, referring to Ms. Rodríguez.

“I’m not claiming that she’s the permanent solution to the country’s problems, but she’s certainly someone we think we can work at a much more professional level than we were able to do with him,” the official added, referring to Mr. Maduro.

It was an easy choice, the people said. Mr. Trump had never warmed up to the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who had organized a winning presidential campaign in 2024, earning her the Nobel Peace Prize this year. Since Mr. Trump’s re-election, Ms. Machado has gone out of her way to please him, calling him a “champion of freedom,” mimicking his talking points on election fraud in the United States and even dedicating her Peace Prize to him.

It was in vain. On Saturday, Mr. Trump said he would accept Ms. Rodríguez, saying that Ms. Machado lacked the “respect” needed to govern Venezuela.

No, we gave him ample opportunity to step down and go away with no repercussion. Especially over the last month.

He literally told Trump "come and get me", which we did.

Do you know any of this?
