SexyRexy 60 Posted October 2, 2018 We have a record number of TDs through 4 weeks of an NFL season. Mostly through the air. There have been multiple 400 yard passers, and streaming QBs seems even more of a strength comparative to a "top tier" QB than ever before. I include, Arod, Brees, Brady etc in this conversation. So the question really becomes, and we all know the value of QB streaming and the point differential from QB1 to QB12 in a given week. Fitz, Goff, Trubisky this last week, Tannehill in general (yeah I know I just said that) and the list goes on. Even Baker last week. Should we be looking to cash in on name value at the QB position for strength elsewhere, and stream QBs, given the overall QB production we've seen across the league? I'll use my own team as an example. I own Drew Brees (fell to me in the 10th, I still don't know how). Should I cash Brees in with a team with an uncertain QB starter on his name, and try and rake in a high end RB2 or a solid high end WR2? Am I really worse off streaming QBs weekly? It's a real question I think we need to be discussing given what we've seen from the QB position overall this year and the amount of streamers available weekly on the wire, vs other positions. Brutal Brutus 182 Posted October 2, 2018 Streaming QBs can work, but you're banking on the idea that you'll pick the right streamer. Also, most half way decent fantasy players won't give up much for a QB because streamers are so readily available.

It could work depending on the size of the league and which RBs you are targeting but for the most part you won't get dollar for dollar value in return. TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted October 2, 2018 ^^^ The Pool from which to stream from looks much different in a 10 Teamer vs 12 Post draft in my 12 Teamers, you had the likes of Eli, Flacco, Jameis/Fitz, Truibs, Taylor/Mayfield, Tanne, Darnold, Dak, Bradford/Rosen. There is or was some potential, but I wouldnt feel to good about rolling any of these QBs out as my guy before the season started.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 2, 2018 Just draft QBs late, same thing as streaming.
Brutal Brutus 182 Posted October 2, 2018 Just draft QBs late, same thing as streaming.Grabbed Rivers in the last round and picked up Ryan after he was dropped in week 1. Ain't no streaming going on.
weepaws 2,460 Posted October 2, 2018 Draft them late is the best way to do it. Goff and Rivers on two teams. Goff and Stafford on one team. Goff and Ryan on another.
polecatt 403 Posted October 3, 2018 Streaming QBs works well for me, don't expect it to work though if you take garbage QBs I got Stafford and Goff Goff and Luck on another team Stafford, Goff, and Wentz Stafford and Wentz I prefer playing match ups week to week or the hot hand instead of breaking the bank for Rodgers or Brady
Gratefulegg1973 253 Posted October 3, 2018 I have had Rodgers in a keeper league for years. It's been a loooong time since he's put up big numbers. I should have tried trading him at the beginning of the year.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 3, 2018 This year really should hammer home the lack of value from drafting a QB anywhere in the top 5 rounds. I usually cave and grab one around 6-8 and even then always end up regretting it just from seeing the weekly guys drafted lower who meet or exceed my output.
