If this were a pay league I'd love to have you aboard. But since there's no money at stake in this league, I don't trust that you'll give it your best effort and you'll probably want to quit again (see: NEFFL 2004).

I'm hoping for a live draft via Antsports. Preferrably close to but before opening kickoff. Which days are good/bad for everyone?

We're going to have this draft at AntSports. We've done this before (2004) and it's worked. There will be a 5-minute time limit to compensate for the fact that the draft is HTML based instead of Java based, meaning you have to hit refresh manually. As long as everyone doesn't fock around, we should finish in a reasonable time. The draft will be serpentine and the order will be randomized using an email-based randomizer. Meaning you focks better provide your email at the league site if you want in on this.

 

I'm thinking of holding the draft on Labor Day (Next Monday, some time during the evening... 9 PM ET?). We're running short on time and thus on flexibility. I did my part by ditching the Yahoo live draft (which I would've preferred personally to make my job here easier). So we'll have this draft offline, and live through AntSports. But I'll need you guys to reach a compromise for the draft time to make this work. Thoughts?

Yup, go to www.antsports.com and register an account. They should send you a copy of your account information to the email you registered with in case you forget your username or password. I will direct everybody to the location of the draft once everyone is accounted for and signed in to Yahoo, and the draft order has been determined.

 

I will use this site to randomize the order. It sends out an email to everyone that I list as soon as the order has been generated, this is just to prove to everyone that I didn't tinker with the resulting draft order in any way.

I'm doing a live Yahoo draft with some guys I work with around 1pm EST on Monday afternoon.

 

I have to be up for work at 5am on Tuesday... and I can't see us flying through a draft on antsports in under 2 hours on a Monday night.

 

If not, I'll have to make do with an auto draft or something I suppose.

Sorry, don't come here too often except to draft for DPL. I already signed into the yahoo league a couple weeks back (Oaktown Crack Whores) so I'll still be in if you haven't filled the spot. I should be good for Labor Night to draft. I hate almost every team I own this year so I'd like to have one more shot at a possibility of winning.

I have a different pc (much older than my regular one,it needs new power supply, at least that is what I hope is wrong) and will be testing to see if I can draft on Yahoo tonight. I will let you know later tonight if it works for me. I couldn't get in the draft rooms with my old one.

Turns out I'm starting my night classes at Boston College next week, and my classes take place on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. So I wouldn't be able to make it those nights. I will check Yahoo anyway to see what the available draft times are.

We may be fucked as far as having Yahoo as an option. Nothing sooner than 4 PM for ANY day from now through September 6. Very frustrated right now. This is what happens when you try to satisfy everybody.

 

Only way to use Yahoo is if we're willing to do it in the morning or afternoon. This makes it impossible for the 9-to-5ers, and Saturday only has a slot for 9 AM. We're not doing that.

 

So here's what we're going to do. We're doing this draft live on AntSports, and we're doing it this Saturday at 2 PM. Nobody should be working or really have plans at that time. If you do and can't make it for whatever reason, then I guess you're out of luck. I hate HTML-based drafts but AntSports is the only viable option left that will give us a private draft at no cost.
