Any concerns with Janikowski in the cold?

Recommended Posts

Am I overthinking this? I'm a little worried about a low-scoring game or missing a kick. There are some decent kickers available.

Interesting question, but for what it's worth, I've never noticed SeaBass being particularly affected by the cold.

He's insulated. ;)

I checked, Oakland has only scored less than 27 points twice this season, 17 against Tennessee in week 3 and 10 against KC in week 6. So, they are a consistently high-scoring team, but only scored 10 at home against KC.

Keep in mind that 10 points includes a field goal and extra point - not a horrible floor, considering Janikowski's normal (long) range.

You know, when I read your original post, all that I could think of was the Tuck Rule game. ( ) So, I looked it up and as you may recall, that one was 25 degrees with snow - and SeaBass kicked 38 and 45-yard field goals in that one.

Revisiting that crime scene, it struck me that Janikowski and Vinatieri faced off in that one all those years ago - and they are both still playing.

Very good question.

I stream kickers and try to stay away from kickers that are going to be facing rough weather.

Harder to do this time of season.

But it should be looked into.

And I would be concern about.

Thanks for the question.

I'm more concerned with both QBs and the WRs. Great night to start Ware and Murray imo

Murray's been running hard, and is due for a big game.
