himmystyles 29 Posted September 2, 2015 Are you taking jimmy Graham if he's available in the middle of the third? This is where I see him consistently going (picking from the 8 spot) in mocks. Seems like a pick that can win your league or lose it if he is under-utilized and they stick with ground and pound. Other players available here in this spot seem to be Abdullah, gordon, Cooper, sanders, hopkins, Mathews, etc. Assuming you are just going on value and not necessarily what U did in the first two rounds, do you take him here or pass and wait? Flgatorguy87 160 Posted September 3, 2015 I don't think so. I saw a blurb that basically said he'd be held in to block about 12% more with Seattle. Factor in the overall number of plays he will also be apart of and I just don't think he sees the numbers people are projecting. I bought the TD hype initially but that scares me and it's incredibly hard to predict.
BunnysBastatrds 1,917 Posted September 3, 2015 Overated on a running first offense until he shows otherwise. He doesn't have Bree's Payton at the helm anymore. Let the other guy have him this year. I can count on one hand how many WR/TE who have had the impact they had the year before and translating those numbers the following year.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted September 3, 2015 You are making a huge mistake if you pass on him. Do you really think Russel is going to favor the crap he has at receiver over Graham? Plus losing Unger not only means a less efficient run blocking line, it also probably means more passing near the goal line. 3rd round allll day

I had Jimmy in that keeper league we did last year that is now defunct. He killed me as my third rounder. There is much better value to be had than him if you are in a league that requires TE. The Saints dropped him for a reason. He is no Gronk. Not while Lynch is still the centerpiece and Carroll is the coach.
BunnysBastatrds 1,917 Posted September 3, 2015 And Wilson is going to fall into the same trap Bree's did. They lined Jimmy up only on definite pass plays where he was the first or second read. He can't block for sh!t so defenses key in on him with two RB sets. Good defenses took him out if his game, no more so than Seatle did. He's ineffective against them. He's no Gronk. Or Gonzales in hi prime. Bree's and Payton made him the player he was. Don't be the guy who buys the hype on him and waste a third rounder. Just saying. I'm a die hard Saints fan with end zone season tickets and have watched him play since he was drafted. He can't block and has alligator arms up the middle when against good defenses. He'll be average at best with Wilson and Petey.
weepaws 2,460 Posted September 3, 2015 I would pass on him in the third round .
yseguy22 8 Posted September 3, 2015 There's some really good young WRs (Evans, Jefrey, Matthews, Hopkins, maybe Cooks) that I like in that spot better than Graham. Rather grab one of those guys and target Olsen or Kelce 1-2 rounds later.
giraldi02 470 Posted September 3, 2015 I had the 7th pick in pretty much all my leagues this year. I took Gronk in the 1st in nearly all of them. My strategy for tight end this year was: Gronk.......or scrub

We both know how ineffective a running QB will be to him going in he middle of the field.
