There are tons and tons of people who read scripture that don't actually think heaven/hell exist, but they live by the teachings of the Bible. I've noticed that really loud mouthed atheists always fall in the slightly above average intelligence percentile and they think they are so enlightened. Real enlightenment is knowing what it's done for the world.
