Voltaire 5,317 Posted July 8, 2006 Even back in the day it was hard, but I just think it's impossible to criticize Clinton nowadays. I mean we were arguing about bl0w jobs and Waco. Now everything is all f*cked up.
Recliner Pilot 61 Posted July 9, 2006 Balanced Budgets Peace Economic Prosperity Full employment Welfare Reform Balanced Budgets? More like "Phantom balanced budgets". He stole SS Surplusses just like every other President. Please show me in which year our National Debt went down because of Clinton's so-called "surplus". Peace? 1993 WTC attacked. 1996 Khobar Towers blown up. 19 dead, 200 injured. 1998 US Embassies in Africa blown up. 224 killed, 5,000 injured. 2000 US Cole attacked. 17 killed, 39 injured. We were at War, Clinton just decided blow jobs were more important than protecting Americans. Economic Prosperity? We did well in the '90's but he entered office with the econmy coming out of a slight recession and left Bush with the dot.com bust and a recession. Full Employment? At 4.6% today's rate is lower than the avg of the '90's. And yet the libs today try to paint a bleak jobs picture and blame Bush. Welfare Reform? C'mon. Clinton vetoed it TWICE. He only signed it once there were enough votes to override his veto. Yeah, he should get credit for that.

spottedowl 1 Posted July 9, 2006 The reason I am not in the Air Force was because of the reduction in forces in the mid 90's. I had 10 years of service and the Clinton administration deemed me useless as a Ssgt (E-5). I took the severance pay offered and left the service in 1996. I served nine months in the middle east (Doha, Qatar) during the first gulf war. I would gladly serve again if I could.

Giants Fan 85 Posted July 9, 2006 Okay, enjoy your status and freedom in the United States. As a person who has defended this country, I find you disgusting. Oh yeah ... as a "person who defended this country"? I guess showing up at Saint Vincents on the morning of 9/11 to give blood .... doesn't count as defense. And I suppose getting on the PATH train and heading towards it, under the Hudson River ... even after I had deduced it was a terrorist attack while YOU were watching it all on TV from your comfy chair. I suppose that is worth nothing to you. So little infact you have thr BALLS to molest my story ... and make up your own version and LIE about what happened to ME that day. You should be ashamed of yourself.

For example: More like "Phantom balanced budgets". He stole SS Surplusses just like every other President. Please show me in which year our National Debt went down because of Clinton's so-called "surplus". First off, presidents don't "steal" the SS surplus. It's cute how you ignore the fact that the SS surplus was used against the national debt, while no other president has done so. As for your stupid and oft-repeated, show when the ND went down, everyone with a brain realizes the debt created by Presidents Reagan and President Bush created interest that far outstripped what surplusses that came out of the last years of the Clinton adminstration. How did we ever keep the king of England at bay with the decimated defense budget. All I know is 1997 was close one. I mean when we almost got overrun by the Canadians The reason I am not in the Air Force was because of the reduction in forces in the mid 90's. And you blame Reagan and Bush for for interest on the debt, but give Clinoton a pass on the trillions he added to the debt. Can't have it both ways Spanky.
