I was offered Larry Johnson for Tiki Barber. A couple weeks ago I would have jumped at this but now I'm not sure. With Green out, defenses are stacking the box on KC. He's a stud though, right? I just don't want to give up Tiki for hype. I always know I'm gonna get atleast the yardage with Tiki. He gets those "all purpose" yards.

I'd do it in an instant. Sure, Tiki has (was?) piling up massive yardage, and will always get you some catches and plenty of yards. However, LJ will get the goal line carries, something Tiki WILL NOT get. It isn't like he might get them, he flat out wont.

 

Don't worry about the Chiefs. They are a very good 0-2 and put on an incredible defensive display against the Broncos today. That game was a battle, and LJ still pulled out 120 yards on the ground.

Hell yes I'd do that. Tiki is going to wear down and Jacobs will continue to get carries. Green will be back soon and LJ is still putting up solid yardage without him!

Although Tiki doesn't get TDs at the goal line, he does get breakaway long TDs both rushing and receiving. He also just gets more receptions, period. He has monster days and plays on a much better team and has a better line. Thus teams can't key on the run and he has running lanes. And though Jacobs steals TDs he keeps Tiki fresh and actually makes him less injury prone. LJs OL is suspect and there's no passing game to take the pressure off of him. Also, he's a bit of an upright runner and is vulnerable to injury because of that, like Stephen Jackson.

I would do this trade. The Giants seem to want Jacobs to carry the ball more often than before. Plus Green willl be back.

Make the trade. Look at what LJ did in 2nd half of season last year. KC will get better offensively and LJ will get those goal line touches He's a fresh horse ride'em

I am a Tiki owner, and I agree that unless you are in a PPR league and own Jacobs you should take the trade and not look back. Come to think of it, even if both of the above conditions are met, you're probably better off with LJ.

I'd take the deal. Larry Johnson might be better long term since Green will come back and the passing game will get going. Even until then, they'll still pound the ball with LJ. But Barber is a yardage monster but he doesn't score as many TDs a LJ so I would take the deal at this point.
