Wells or Burleson?

Recommended Posts

Wells is projected for about 2 more points, but I think Burleson v KC is the better matchup. I'm going against a team that is projected to beat me by about 20 points, so I need the home run. Who would you start?

Leave a link and I will reply to your thread.

Thanks guys

Well, I'm a tad biased based on being a Beanie owner. With that being said, KC is without their stud Eric Berry. I mean, Fitzpatrick lit them up for four touchdowns last week, and Stafford is twice the QB Fitzpatrick is. Also, Megatron isn't running at 100%, but, I'm not sure if he has ever been truly 100% since being in the league. Wells is interesting. He doesn't have anyone taking away his touches, and clearly the coaching staff will lean on him. I cringed last week when him and Kolb fumbled a toss, but the coaching staff went right back to the same play the very next series. I do like Burleson's potential, but I see Beanie being in a position for more points. He get's all the redzone's carries, he's the clear cut 3rd down back, and the are working him in the passing game. As you stated in my post, it simply comes down to your gut. If it were my team, I would ride Beanie, but also wouldn't cry if I had to put Nate in there as well.

Washingtons D looked pretty solid last week against a good rushing attack. If you need the homerun I think Burleson's ceiling is much higher than Beanie. Burleson could wind up with like 120/2 while Beanie's best is probably 80/1 and 30 receiving.

I like Burleson for you. I like Stafford and their hype this year, with Megatron and Nate there should plenty of balls being thrown in the air for both. Plus if I recall their 3rd WR is injured and that leaves them with nothing else but crap

Thanks for the reply

I am a big Burleson fan this year, he was one of the 4 players I targeted for late round picks and I play him as my #3 but if I had this choice I goes Wells. Wells is the man this year as long as he stays healthy, I know Burleson has a sweet matchup but I don't think I play a #2 WR vs. a clear cut # 1 RB.

Even if the clear-cut #1 RB is going against a defense that allowed a grand total of 73 rushing yards to Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs last week? Burleson's matchup outweighs Wells' matchup by a lot.

I think Burleson gives you the best chance for a big game. Beanie will get something, but I doubt he can have the upside this week that nate does.

I'd go with Wells, as I'm a bigger fan of using a RB in flex when possible... I'm really struggling with Burleson or S. Moss though. Brutal.
