ric0 23 Posted August 17, 2013 Have to give thanks for everyone's help last year for helping me win my 10 member non-ppr standard league scoring. Last year of keeper eligibility for each. Giving up draft round pick for keeper selection. Gronk for 11th pick. Will I get even 10 weeks out of him coming off of injuries? Would likely need to spend a draft pick on a TE. D. Murray for 12th pick. Unlikely to play a whole season healthy. Only Arizona was worse in rushing last year. But given the premium on RBs this year, he's likely to be gone before the 3rd round when the draft snakes back to me. Who would you go with? As always, leave a link. pipeman 18 Posted August 17, 2013 Seems like there are quite a few of us with a similar dilemma regarding Murray. My gut is that this is the year he plays a full slate of games. You're more likely to be able to snag Gronk in the redraft- regardless of his past health, Murray is an every down back in an offense that could be great. I go Murray. Daltnator 19 Posted August 17, 2013 Murray all the way!!
jthomen 0 Posted August 17, 2013 Yeah, I think Murray is the guy and snag his handcuff. I think Gronk will play more than people think, but RBs are a necessity. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=421102
dpbuddha 9 Posted August 17, 2013 Yeah, I'm gong to pile on here and say Murray. Gronk is a question mark and RB is shallow.
DaZizz 0 Posted August 18, 2013 hmm. I think i'd go gronk. Just because even if he only plays 10 or so games this year, it wont be hard to find a guy to replace him for those weeks. Tight ends this year are very similar after you get past gronk/graham. You could find a guy like brandon pettigrew, jared cook, jermaine gresham, etc who are going to be just as productive as the tight ends your playing the week you need someone to fill in for gronk. Wil Infamous 2 Posted August 18, 2013 I'm facing the same problem with putting faith in Murray. For my RB3/Flex if Murray was available I was thinking about taking him because I feel either him or Ryan Matthews are going to pop this season and I'd hate myself for picking Matthews and being wrong. So I'm putting my chips on Murray.
rory_mcdowell 0 Posted August 18, 2013 I say Gronk. Without knowing the exact freezer situation in your league, there are a bunch of guys like Murray, that should be available in the 3rd. IMO there is a chunk of guys in that tier that are all similar in terms of what they can do. I do not feel that way about the TE spot. Gronk for even 8 weeks, in a 13 week regular season is huge. Plus the fact that theoretically you would have him for the playoffs. Could you draft Sutfeld late and just roll NE TE position all year? Not terrible. Lamb of God 15 Posted August 19, 2013 Thnx for mine. I think it depends on the RB situation in ur league if its super thin I'd keep Murray but u get better value for keeping gronk even if he only plays 10 games. Spend a middle rd pick on a Greg Olsen / Finley type and then I have gronk waiting on the wings.
