Any chance it could start this weekend? I have a couple drafts, and a wedding the next couple weekends. Just thought I'd ask...

It is very unlikely to start this weekend.

 

Once we get everyone confirmed in roll call we then still have to get everyone signed up on the site. Once you get signed up you need a couple days with the interface just to get comfortable with it and to set up your FAB bid lists, design your stadium, etc.

 

I do understand your feelings on the timing, I also have a wedding to attend next weekend, and it will actually consume all my time from wednesday night thru saturday night.

As mentioned before, sounds like we really need a weekend start (since it's the first few rounds where a) the best players may go and everyone will be learning how to do this)

 

I also doubt we can start this weekend, unfortunately for those with weddings next weekend.

 

Personally, if people would prefer a mid-week start, I can probably manage that (I have a lot of freedom at my job )

It's bad enough that I had my own wedding less than a month ago but I too have a wedding to go to next weekend (Aug 27-28).

 

Maybe we should consider a Monday start to the FAB or something. If not, I can handle being near the bottom of the barrell scrounging for scraps. I'm looking forward to the new experience this league will be providing me that I JUST DON'T CARE!

I think we need to get the league formed in the GameDay system. We could wait forever for the roll call to be finished. Right now, we have 12 (I think) confirmed from league 1, and the people who confirmed from league 2 could be moved into league 1.

 

Basically, give it another day, then form the league from the roll call and post a notice on how many slots remain for league 1, first come first serve. (A second league looks highly unlikely at this stage).

 

Need to keep the momentum going, and once we have a league we can quickly settle on format and FAB start date.

Just signed up for a WCOFF Satellite league, 6 hour timer draft starting on the 28th. I had to go for the chance to win a trip and entry to WCOFF in 2006. As for that cliff, I'm right there with you buddy!

People have started to build their stadium and such. I haven't done it yet because I want to read over the user guide some more (okay, once), but if you're ready to set up the stadium by all means do it.

 

Sounds like we are targetting a FAB start for Monday the 29th.

Ok guys, the league has been set up and Mike is emailing out League name and password info.

One other thing I wanted to mention. No Date has been set for the FAB yet. When you join the league it will tell you that it starts on August 27th. This is just a default date that it puts in. We cannot select a FAB start date until the league is filled.

From what Mike said in his mail, you're next on the list if I'm not mistaken, so you s/b in now.

Built a stadium, but really not sure I'm going to stick with this strategy. Also compiling the lists in the planner. Not sure I know what I'm doing though
