Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 11, 2004 slam dunk easy decision there, dan. Nice pick.
Orgazmo 2 Posted May 11, 2004 I would've like Perry here. After seeing round one complete, I thought he might be there for me to make the decision easier. Tampa seems a bit crowded and messy to take Clayton. Maybe trading up would've been something. Hell, I don't know. I'm tired.

You have some good WRs and could easily wait a year for him.
Wilzone 0 Posted May 11, 2004 The first two picks are nice picks so far.
thedanzone 2 Posted May 11, 2004 I was definetly deciding between Perry and Mike Williams. I think Mike Williams has a better chance at being a better pro, but I took the risk with Perry. You can never have too many RBs.
Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 11, 2004 Another tough choice. Two great players, rated about equally. This time I went with the guy who's going to get the chance to start now. I would have been happy with either guy, but Jenkins is my choice here. I also think this helps Rodney again, by not leaving another ATL WR for him (he has Price). It's amazing what a nice guy I am First I help him out by leaving him a day 1 starting RB in J.Jones. Then, I don't screw him by leaving him the 1st round ATL WR. Orgazmo 2 Posted May 11, 2004 Yeah. How was Jenkins going to drop to the 3rd round? he would have had to drop to the fourth
Wilzone 0 Posted May 11, 2004 but Jenkins is my choice here. That was the guy I was after.
bigmarc27 24 Posted May 11, 2004 Rivers - just gets its done! I'm hoping Kerry Collins can catch a starting gig somewhere. If he doesn't though, I'm mildly confident in the Bulger/Grossman/Rivers trio now. My thinking is that I don't need another young project 2-3 year WR - I have enough of them already. I don't view any RBs worthy of this spot, so I passed on them. Other than Kellen, none of the TEs seem to be a big upgrade over Alge at this point. I don't expect Rivers to ever throw up a 4,000 yard 35 TD year, but I think he could easily be a top 5-10 player at his position for years to come - I can't say that about anyone else at this point. bigmarc27 24 Posted May 11, 2004 I like the last few picks... the Troupe pick, while I like it, suprises me a little bit. I thought for sure you were taking the guy you mentioned when we were working out the trade earlier.

I thought for sure you were taking the guy you mentioned when we were working out the trade earlier. I've seen this guy referenced as being a better TE than Kellen Winslow Jr, in several expert articles. As always a TE that can produce is hard to come by, so even if Troupe takes a year or 2 to produce, he ends up being a great deal here.

gratefulted 14 Posted May 11, 2004 And Ted goes for speeeeeeed. He's the Mike Martz of our league. Join us in assmeggery, Ted. No need to lurk. I have an extremly busy day (getting ready to donate some unearned cash at one of those focked up Indian casinos), I was hoping for a better reciever, forgot about the draft going 1-12, then 1-12, thought it was 1-12, then 12-1, would'nt have picked Elisha if my head was'nt lodged up my ass That focker is fast though. AUKidJoshH 0 Posted May 12, 2004 At this point, taking a QB with a decent starting shot probably isn't a bad gambit, seeing as I already telegraphed last month that I wanted him.

Wilzone 0 Posted May 12, 2004 Colbert and Smith should be ideal compliments in Carolina. Not bad for this late in the fraft. I was actually considering taking Colbert even though I have Smith. I think he's gonna be good and will quickly take over the #2, which is nice for a late 2nd round pick.
