hoytdwow 202 Posted March 22, 2006 You don't value your vision huh? I'm not sure what's dumber: You thinking it's ok to spend $200 on sunglasses, or that you think Jokely's are somehow going to protect your eyes.

NMany cheap sunglasses actually distrort your vision due to their unpolished lenses and cheap plastic lens design. I'm not saying spend hundreds, just saying cheap sunglasses are a waste as well as being potentially harmful. EG, still need replacements for half jackets. Have any fire lenses or black lenses? bigmarc27 24 Posted March 22, 2006 I've had my M-frames forever, but I'm thinking of getting a new pair of sunglasses and just using those when I golf, ride jetskis, etc.. Any suggestions. 24 year old single professional trying to act like a big shot.

Ok If you wear crappy sunglasses without 100% UV protection you are doing damage. You are shading your eyes which causes your pupils to dilate. If you are not 100% protected from UV rays, those rays will cause serious damage to your retina. So, do you value your vision? cash or charge NMany cheap sunglasses actually distrort your vision due to their unpolished lenses and cheap plastic lens design. Sho Nuff 720 Posted March 22, 2006 I used to be a firm believer in buying cheap. Until my doctor told me to quit...bought a pair of Oakley Square Wires with the polarized lenses...they do make a difference...less squinting...alot more comfortable and much clearer vision. Probably getting some for outdoor sports as it also makes a difference to make sure you have good polycarbonate lenses rather than cheap plastics that can shatter and damage your eyes. kraziness 0 Posted March 23, 2006 I know a guy who has a pretty nice pair of arnette's, has had them for like 5-6 years and loves them I got a pair of oak's from EG and love them, but in hindsight I'd definitely spring for the polarized and for the springy arms. mmmmm...beer 807 Posted March 27, 2006 Illgles.... YGM agin... Oakley is like Bose right? All in the name, but an inferior product. I used to think the same thing about expensive sunglasses... I figured I'd sit on them.. or screw them up like I did with all my crapass pairs.. I bought myself a pair on my wife's opinion about 5-6 years ago. As they were expensive... I ALWAYS knew where I was putting them... where they were. Heh... no sitting on those bad boys for me. And after wearing them for a few years... I'm totally sold. You get what you pay for in sunglasses. Obviously you can get stupid and buy stuff for looks only.... ie some of those huge box frame looking glasses f@gs are buying now, but I'd never go back to buying 10 pair of cheapy sunglasses over several years when I can buy a good pair for the same price.
