Portis26 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Both Manny Lawson and Wimberly fit the Browns scheme perfectly.... I dont think Ngata will be there at 12 --

CAMJAY77 1 Posted April 29, 2006 Both Manny Lawson and Wimberly fit the Browns scheme perfectly.... I dont think Ngata will be there at 12 -- I would rather have Bunkley(as DE) in the 1st. Pass rushing OLB's are plentiful this year.

You have a sick sense of humor and as football fan raised on Browns football that had to abandon the idea of cheering for either team... I like it

Thin Spirit 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Ngata/Justice, Justice/Ngata I really have no idea how these next two picks will work out...
murf74 461 Posted April 29, 2006 Greenway? I'll throw that out with Ngata and Wimbley.
t.j 35 Posted April 29, 2006 I can't believe Ngata is still there for the Browns. Big steal if they get him, IMO. 2:30 left on the clock They trade! Baltimore definitely wants Ngata. Stupid, Cleveland, stupid!

Thin Spirit 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Ray Lewis will return to being a reckless force this season. The Ravens now have a huge space eater in the middle again. Just wondering what they gave up to move up one spot...Im suprised Crennel allowed him to go to a division rival, unless he absolutly loves Bunkley?!

Stupid, Cleveland, stupid! They must not have wanted Ngata. Again, I'll say Greenway or Wimbley to the Browns, what did it cost Balt (only a 6th rounder so Cleveland must not have wanted him at all) Schlereth doesn't think this guy is any good. TomServo 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Clearly this was an honest deal, not a ripoff for either. The Ravens knew the Browns didn't really WANT Ngata, but they needed to give up something. The Browns decided (obviously) they didn't want the big guy, so they got something in exchange, got the guy they wanted, and will pay a little less salary-wise. As a Browns fan, I liked Ngata, and I just have to hope he sucks now. I'm just glad no QB lasted to 12/13.
Barnaby Wilde 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I like what the Browns have done so far to improve what think will be a sleeper fantasy defense.
esoitl 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I like what the Browns have done so far to improve what think will be a sleeper fantasy defense. they had a pretty stout 4-3 a couple of years back and then went down hill the switch to the 3-4 has turned out to be great although i am kind of confused as to why they didnt want Ngata he would have a great mentor and serve as a perfect rotation in the middle keeping both guys very fresh through out the year when Washington hung it up, he would have been ready to step in full time and they would be looking great in the middle. i guess Wimbley is in the same situation outside with McGuinest as his mentor although i dont play, and never will, DST leagues, yeah they should be good along with Baltimore as well both could/should be pretty scary to play
kraziness 0 Posted April 30, 2006 1. I allowed myself to completely fall in love with what Ngata could do for the Browns D. Had he gone ahead of them, it's football. But the fact that he was there and they passed on him, it kills me. The fact that they gave him to Balt. KILLS me, and scares me regarding what RayRay will do next year (with beef like that up front). 2. I agree that it shows that the Browns CLEARLY weren't planning on taking Ngata. They wanted Wimbley so they picked up an extra pick and still got him. A 6th is nothing though, so far below the going rate. 3. I guess I'm happy with the improved LB corps, but I'm not sold that Ted Wash is the answer (even for this year) at NT. I guess they like another NT in the later rounds 4. I think the Browns have improved themselves greatly this offseason, but with Ed Reed and Ray back, and now with Ngata (and McNair if they get him)... so have the Ravens. This will be a tough division next year. 5. Bently (at a BIG price) and their 2nd for Faine and Saints' 2nd... a bit steep, but I guess that's a wash.
