Texansfan 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Negative 1) Deuce McCallister - Reggie Bush will cut his production in half at least 2) DeShaun Foster - So much for his shot. DeAngelo Williams will steal carries and maybe his job 3) Dominc Rhodes - His time as feature was short lived... errr never happened Joeseph Addai will start 4) Corey Dillon - getting old and Lawrence Maroney will take over by midseason Postive 1) DD - Kubiak showed EXTREME faith in him and is now the man in Denver style offense 2) FWP - Pitt showed faith in him by not going after a RB until 7th round 3) Joseph Addai - the best RC RB in FF this year easily 4) Vernon Davis - SF's best errrr ONLY offensive threat. Should be HUGE! 5) Chester Taylor - No RB drafted. Looks like he'll be the man in MINN. 6) Lawrence Maroney - should be NE starting RB by midseason if not sooner Those are a few that came to mind for me. What do you guys have? A few comments: Why does Chester Taylor have the job in Minny? Maybe I have not see all the reports and Tice is gone, but C. Taylor had a shot of being the man in Baltimore and could not produce. Why would it be any different this time in Minny. They still have several RBs to eat into his production. Addai could indeed start, and could slip under many FF radars. DD should indeed be strong this year as the pieces around Carr have never been better.
Fumbleweed 543 Posted May 1, 2006 C. Taylor had a shot of being the man in Baltimore and could not produce. Huh? Chester Taylor had a much, much better YPC in Baltimore last year than Jamal Lewis. He did produce there. I'm not sure what you're referring to............
Restricted 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Negatives: A. Toomer - With the drafting of Moss, Toomer's days are limited. K. Warner, J. Plummer - With big name rook's in the background, they'll be on short leashes. Major neg. for dynasty leagues. Chris Brown, Travis Henry - Enter L. White into the mix. t.j 35 Posted May 1, 2006 Addai could indeed start, and could slip under many FF radars. Addai isn't going to slip under any fantasy radars. I would cream in my jeans if he was available to me at the 5th pick of my keeper league (7 keepers per team, 14 teams).

Voltaire 5,298 Posted May 1, 2006 J. Plummer - With big name rook's in the background, they'll be on short leashes. Major neg. for dynasty leagues. I wouldn't worry too much about Plummer. He'll have a starting job...may not be in Denver in a couple of years but he'll still have one somewhere.

Childress has already commented that he would like to get Taylor 20-25 touches per game and Moore/Fason are not the every down backs Taylor can be (if he stays healthy). That sounds a bit contradicting
TD Ryan2 316 Posted May 1, 2006 Tom Brady's fantasy stock rises a bit after this draft. NE basically loaded up on pass targets and another lineman for him. With these 2 guys: 3 22 (86) David Thomas, TE, Texas 4 9-b (106) Garret Mills, TE, Tulsa it appears that NE is looking to have the H back (or F back) play a bigger role (ala Richie Anderson, Keith Byars, Larry Centers types). I agree, Chester had a 100+ carries and only 1 TD. There is cause for concern, but no one on that roster can challenge him...so by default he's the man. FlyEaglesFly 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Man, New England sure loves tight ends............ The Pats draft the guys they think are the best athletes for their system regardless of position. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them moved to a FB/H-Back position so they can come out in a "jumbo" set and create match up problems with bigger pass catchers..... Don't you guys remember Lamont Jordan. He was in almost the exact same situation stuck behind Curtis Martin for 4 years before he finally got his shot in Oakland last year. And he was fantastic. I think Chester Taylor could have a similar impact and maybe even better. Minnesota has shown a commitment to the running game adding Steve Hutchinson & a Pro Bowl FB (I forget which one). I wouldn't call Jordan "fantastic". He averaged 3.7 yards a carry. His fantasy value was enhanced, however, by the high usage in the passing game.
