NewbieJr 540 Posted May 9, 2006 He tried. I didn't watch the whole telecast, but I found myself tuned in when he was actually holding his breathe. Maybe it was overhyped, maybe not. I'm not proud to admit that they got me to watch it, but I take condolence in saying that their advertisers didn't get a penny from me...i didn't watch one commercial. GB The Apprentice. kutulu 1,552 Posted May 9, 2006 I don't think I've seen all the David Blaine specials, but that was the worst one of the ones I've seen.

Woble Eth 11 Posted May 9, 2006 Rather melodramatic, I found Stuart Scott VERY annoying. He was just terrible, taking the melo drama to new heights. That said, I think he would have completed the stunt, but did TOO much at one time. Spent 7 days in the sphere, depleating his body, then the chains, then the holding of the breath. Had he jumped in the sphere fresh, he probably would have eclipsed the old record of 9 minutes and some change. Pretty amazing. Hell, even 7 minutes is in the words of Mr. Scott, is "off the charts, people." Personally tho, I'd rather see him bite quarters and do the card tricks... The one where he pulls the girls two teeth out in the casino and **POOF** blows them back - perty cool. I love it when the bruthas and da sistas go nuts when he does something - they think he's the DEBIL.
surferskin 30 Posted May 9, 2006 his best trick was getting 2 chicks with perfect tiits to bounce around for a couple minutes in the casino.

Electric Mayhem 35 Posted May 9, 2006 Personally i think there was some trick as to getting oxygen into his lungs somehow. I think he purposely didn't break the record because he would have 'cheated' his way into the record books. I don't buy anything a magician/illusionist does. It says he lost 50 pounds to attempt this - he was pretty skinny to begin with and still had decent muscle mass in the bowl. No way he lost fifty pounds. Jeff Garcia 8 Posted May 9, 2006 I TIVO'ed it, just to have a few laughs when I got home last night. WHat a focking fraud. He's like John Edwards he's such a fraud. I tuned in for a few seconds to John Edward last night, never trust a guy with 2 first names. Anyways he was asking this lady if she knew of a nickname of Buddy, or Bud, or something that rhymed with it, and the lady was like . He quickly went onto the next subject, which was a uniform. He was like "I see a uniform, either military or police or some kind of uniform", which could be almost anything. The lady was like he was in the military for a short time a long time ago , and John was like I got another gullible one here. Anyways, he is very vague, and the people just keep feeding him info.
