George Carlin 1 Posted May 9, 2006 Convenient how when MLB was in the dumps, they looked the other way when all their "long ball" hitters were hitting 40+ dingers a year. Now that MLB is back on it's feet, it's time to railroad Barry Bonds. Way to go MLB, way to go.

brinett9 0 Posted May 9, 2006 How many minutes is considered a long ball? Well, you've got about three minutes per waltz, plus a few 'minute waltzes' thrown in there... Add in time for hors d'oeuvres. About three hours.

D'ohmer Simpson 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Steroids were not even banned by MLB util 2003. Barry Bonds is a scapegoat. But they were illegal, as a whole, since the 80's I think. So even though baseball hadn't banned it, they are an illegal substance.
George Carlin 1 Posted May 9, 2006 Steroids were not even banned by MLB util 2003. Barry Bonds is a scapegoat. So true... If Bonds had retired 2 years ago, MLB would have never mentioned the word steroids... frauds.. But they were illegal, as a whole, since the 80's I think. So even though baseball hadn't banned it, they are an illegal substance. This isn't about legality, we all know steroids have been illegal in the USA since the 80's. Why haven't any of the players that have written books or publicly admitted to doing steroids been arrested?

I'm pretty sure that fully automatic rifles aren't in the official baseball rule book, either. When a substance is "illegal", players should assume that means in baseball, too. George Carlin 1 Posted May 9, 2006 has bonds been arrested? He supposedly said to congress "I took steroids unknowingly". Why didn't they arrest him on the spot? It's illegal and they care so much, right?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't cocaine banned by baseball many years ago. Why not steroids?
