Considering that we don't know the extent of the injury, this thread is a bit premature.

I heard he bruised his squash....

Always a painful injury. In that case, I'm bumping up Batch's projections to 5000 yards this year.

A little too conservative when you look at all of run-a-Batch's skills.

I'm gonna say, missing teeth, broken jaw, broken ribs, nerve damage and hopefully that torn ACL.

See ya in 2007 Ben. What did you do? Get a Vince Young brain transplant in the offseason? Idiot.

With that melon I'm more concerned about the car. Any idiot who rides without a helmet is just asking to be killed or brain damaged.

If Dan Rooney can guarentee that all 16 games would be ref'd by Bill Leavy, then his stats go through the roof

dumbass has been quoted as prefering to not wear a helmet. Thats good. Now he can go for a whole season without wearing one.

That law is darwinism at its finest. if you are dumb enough to ride around without a helmet, you deserve to crack your skull. idiot.

I do hope he didn't get to hurt though

This guy deserves the same crap that everyone gave K. Winslow two years ago.

not exactly. Winslow was a known soldier douchebag.

Maybe. Winslow was a novice at riding bikes and was doing tricks and crap. Roeth knows how to ride a bike, and wasn't doing tricks, but he still should have been smarter than to go without a helmet. The bad pub Winslow got will definitely reduce the sympathy Roeth gets.

This is so dumb. Ben was using his motorcycle as a mode of transportation , not as a toy. He was driving on a city street, not doing tricks in a parking lot going 60 mph. Did Winslow have a license to ride a bike? I don't totally recall.

While I agree Ben is stupid for riding without a helmet, this was a normal traffic accident. Not an accident caused by being a moron like Winslow.

What will happen is now the Steelers will be looking to sign one UFA QB with veteran experience.

None other than Kerry Collins.

Safe move, ensure a qb this season. Someone you would be willing to bench once Ben is back.

Likely expect to start remainder of this season and hope Ben is back full strength next year.

(conservative recovery time for the accident and the associate mental recovery)
