tampa_fan_01 0 Posted July 31, 2006 Brian Finneran will probably be missing the season this year. Looks like they are down to Roddy White and Michael Jenkins at WR. Bump Vick down a notch... that makes me sad too. Finneran's down!

shovelheadt 72 Posted July 31, 2006 I can't imagine how disappointing that would be. You've been chomping at the bit for 6 months waiting to get back at it, then POW! Taken away on the first day.

DaveJ 0 Posted July 31, 2006 Until Vick and the OC/Coach get on the same page with the scheme, Vick is a mid tier QB. Ugly to see so much potential go to waste due to stubborness on both sides... if they altered the scheme a bit to fit him better and he actually bought into it, it might be different. As it stands, that O will be the O that coulda been. It's a bad fit all around... they draft a scrambler with a cannon but slow release who can get the ball down field and make plays with his feet, then draft down field WR's and try to cram them into a west coast dink, dunk and quick throw scheme. Chronic Husker 86 Posted July 31, 2006 It's a bad fit all around... they draft a scrambler with a cannon but slow release who can get the ball down field and make plays with his feet, then draft down field WR's and try to cram them into a west coast dink, dunk and quick throw scheme. Excellent synopsis. I think the division suffers from delusion (see Haslett, Jim). ATL should be running an offense like SD with Fouts. Vick's ability to run would just be another added dimension. Asslie Lelie for for TJ Duckett, here it comes... i hope it goes through today cause it have to declare keepers tonight.... and TJ could be last minute trade fodder
PackYourNut 47 Posted July 31, 2006 ATL already has 2 WR who think there good but havent proved it yet... See Jenkins and Roddy White... We dont need Lelie... Plus, Blank doesnt take any fodder off the streets.... See Owens and Moss...

Asslie Lelie for for TJ Duckett, here it comes... i hope it goes through today cause it have to declare keepers tonight.... and TJ could be last minute trade fodder There are some wr's in Det that may become available very soon...if you read the local fluff, todays article is inferring that there will be one wr spot left for Rogers, BMW and Vines to fight for w Glenn Martinez being the guy that is surprising everyone - Martz absolutely loves him - height, speeed, catches everything, not afraid and a ST dynamo....tough to trade with the cap implications of the big two, however Lions do have some room. hmmm....wouldnt break my heart to see one of those treds go - they all cant be no1 guys. Maybe a LB'er? thanks millen

Fumbleweed 555 Posted July 31, 2006 This will hurt Vick's value some. Finneran was a good go-to-guy for him when he was struggling to find a rhythm.
ffdomino 0 Posted July 31, 2006 This will hurt Vick's value some. Finneran was a good go-to-guy for him when he was struggling to find a rhythm. Actually I think this helps Vick out. He has difficulty with WRs that can actually move around.

Savage Beast 1 Posted July 31, 2006 Bump Vick down a notch... If Vick could not run, he wouldn't even be in the NFL. He has no passing game. Vick is bumped off of my draft list every year.
What is the deal? 1 Posted July 31, 2006 tough to trade with the cap implications of the big two, however Lions do have some room. If I am not mistaken, cutting them will get the same cap penalties. Might as well try to get something. All the negative press for BMW can't be helping his value though.
FFOpie 0 Posted July 31, 2006 I think they're better off with Jenkins and White as their 1 and 2 anyway. And Vick can't do more than 2 reads (first is Alge) so what does it matter? Oh I see, you guys like Finneran because he could run block better for Vick?

Raider 84 29 Posted July 31, 2006 Finneran might have been there best option at wr if White and Jenkins don't pan out.
