This could be the "Big One"

Recommended Posts

I'm being offered

Fitz, Ward (or Gates) & McCallister

for

Owens, Evans, Dillon

Should I pull it? Obviously the thing that I'm worried about is Duece.

Wow that's a tough one. It looks pretty much even IMO. It all comes down to personal preference and your own projections. I think Deuce will get the GL carries and be HEAVILY involved in Nola. I see Bush getting alot of work but he's going to be in the slot alot and all sorts of stuff we've probably never seen before. I think with Dillons age and Maroney in the picture the two backs are pretty much a wash as far as risk/reward (injury etc). I like Fitz and Ward over Owens and Evans so I'd pull the trigger. Good luck!

mine if you got a second

Do it fast. Fitz will outpoint T.O.. even if he plays all yr. as Dallas has many more weapons than PHIL ever had and Parcells plays team ball and loves the run. Mac if healty will outpoint Dillon. same TDs, more yardage, and Ward and Evans are close due to Wards hammy, but like Ward a tad more.

Pls. answer mine

Don't do that deal unless you want to kick yourself all year.

The receiver combo is comparable.

The Dillon vs McAllister is the problem. Reggie Bush is going to render Deuce un-startable all year. But Dillon will be a quality RB2 all year long.

 Here you go in nutshell.

I don't agree that Fitz & TO are equal. When all the TO crap ends, he will be on a mission to prove that he is the best. TO's latest crap was about not wanting to do the preseason, he's all about gametime.

And he gets to play the Eagles twice. Make sure you start him that week...

Don't trade unless it's an UPGRADE

I would do it. I like Deuce a little more than Dillon in spite of Bush and I am not sold on Evans even though I own him in my primary league.

this is a first half second half of the season question to me combined with personal projections and can't really be answered without seeing the rest of your squad here... whole thing screams caution, caution, but i'd close my eyes and pull the trigger

I'd do it! In my opinion, Fitz & TO are equal so there's a push. Dillon & Duece is tough. Since both are coming off of forgetable seasons and they have rookies itching to take there spots, I'd have to call it a push...but with Duece slightly favored. It sounds as if he's running hard, and I think that he's going to see the majority of the carries in NO, especially around the endzone.

That leaves us with Evans & Ward. Personally, I like Ward more so this might be a bit biased. He's more consistent, a bigger threat in the redzone, and plays on a more balanced offense. Evans has a QB contreversy brewing in Buffalo, and has been slightly overrated the past two years. I give the nod to Ward.

Overall, I think that it's a decent trade for you. It would leave you with 3 consistent WR's and essentially the same RB situtation, although you can always move Foster into the starting rotation until you see how Duece is going to be used.

I'm not sure I'd make this deal.

I like Deuce over Dillon. Sure, they both have promising rookies pushing htem for time, but I see those rookies being used differently. I think NO will have both Bush & Deuce in the same backfield...where Deuce gets more carries and Bush gets more receptions. Meanwhile, I think Dillon will be subbed in/out.

Also, I happen to be really high on Evans this year...I think he breaks out as a solid #2WR (I'm thinking TJ Housh numbers.)

However, depending on how your league scores things, Gates at TE might make the deal worth it for you. In my league TEs are over-valued, so having a TE who puts up top 5 WR numbers could be a focking bonanza for you.

So you'd go

Fitz, Gates and Duece

over

T.O., Evans & Dillon?

League has TE's play as WR's (all the same mix)
