What kind of wallet do you have?

So I pay for lunch today, go to get my change, and get a $5 bill handed to me that's folded in two places. Other than neanderthals and teenagers with Ocean Pacific velcro canvas wallets, who still uses tri-fold wallets thesedays?

I fold my bills in half and then in half again, so they have 3 folds.

 

Unless I'm carrying a big wad of cash, then I can only fold them once to get them to fit.

I don't know how some of you get by with just a money clip. I use a bi-fold with two "money" sections; one for cash, the other for receipts which I often submit for expense reports. Slots for license, corp Amex, personal cc, Southwest airlines FF card (I fly a lot). Stick biz cards in one inside pocket, random crap in the other.

That's the problem! I got this bill, tried to stick it in my wallet and the folds got caught so I finally jammed it in there, when I went to close my wallet it popped back out so that at least 3/4 of the bill were sticking out the top of my wallet Life sucks.

 

I can't comprehend using a money clip all the time, like the guy above says, to much other crap I stick in there (thread manip). But I do occassionally use a money clip when I'm going out for the night and all I need are some bills, DL and a CC.

i use a paperclip as my money clip. i barely ever carry over ten dollars though, unless iam going drinking.
