phillybear 366 Posted October 27, 2006 A quick note on the CFL game tonight... Saskatchewan will have to win without its best players. Kenton Keith, Matt Dominguez, Jason Armstead, Eddie Davis, Tristan Clovis, Jackie Mitchell, Nate Davis, Terrell Jurineack, Corey Grant and Fred Childress did not even make the trip. Coach Danny Barrett said starting quarterback Kerry Joseph would also be rested. "It's the first opportunity I've ever had (as Roughriders' coach) to rest a few guys," Barrett told the Edmonton Sun. "Last week was a very physical game. We want to be healthy going into the playoffs." As expected. I hope that Edmonton finishes strong at home tonight vs the Sask backups. I'm the only UTEP supporter here, so I'll cheer for them myself.

phillybear 366 Posted October 27, 2006 And also I like the boston college/Buffalo over, any thought on why it would open at 49 and go all the way down to 44 when buffalo is aloowing some godly numbers the last few weeks!!! During the game... The National Weather Service is warning that winds this weekend could gust up to 60 mph and that as much as three inches of rain could fall in many areas tomorrow
cyclone24 1,914 Posted October 27, 2006 YM: What's the play tonight? I'm not doing anything in college without your (or Ditka's) input. It's just too much of a disaster. Anybody got anything on tonights game??

phillybear 366 Posted October 27, 2006 Something to keep an eye on for a possible 2nd half play tonight. UTEP in the second half of their games this, in order of games played, has been outscored by opponent by 4 outscored opponent by 2 outscored opponent by 3 been outscored by opponent by 5 been outscored by opponent by 14 been outscored by opponent by 7 been outscored by opponent by 24 Also, last year Tulsa/UTEP played to a 41-38 final. I had the over in that game, for a decent sum, as I recall. Aside from Edmonton and Tulsa, as a true degenerate, I also played Columbus and Minnesota in hockey. GiantsRule 0 Posted October 27, 2006 Screw it: It's just money UTEP-Tulsa Over 55 (-120) And a double-unit play no less. If it trends low by the 2nd half, I'll hedge during in-game live betting. Good luck to all! philly: Please give me a logical reason why I shouldn't pound Edmonton -4 (1st half) or -7 (for the game, with added juice). So tempted to throw a ton on it, but I'm worried the backups will show up with something to prove.

So tempted to throw a ton on it, but I'm worried the backups will show up with something to prove. Edm first half might be decent. I would probably still lay 7 with Edm, but I personally wouldn't be playing a 3 unit or it, maybe a 2 unit play. Sask screwed me last week, beating Toronto on the road 13-9. Sask offense wasn't impressive at all, and Toronto's inconsistent offense laid a huge egg, repeatedly going 2 and out on their drives. It was more of a matter of Toronto self destructing than Sask winning, IMO. Sask is only 3-5 on the road after last weeks ugly win, and as badly as Edmonton has played this year in the middle of the season, are 4-4 at home. Good luck with whatever you do. To be honest, if I would settle for a split out on Edm and Tulsa, and with the V Tech win last night, go into the weekend up a little. We will see what happens. Also, I expect to be drunk soon, so if I sound like a jackass later tonight when I post, that means that I forgot to hide my keyboard. You have all been warned. I predict that UTEP's passing game is going to go nuts and Palmer will stop throwing picks for once..... since everything has been going the other way in past week.... you guys are all safe (at least i have one stat going for me ... Road team is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games)

GiantsRule 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Nah... Tulsa looked good for most of that drive.... unless you talking about the over.. Yup They better score soon so I can buy it back. It was already down to 49 last I checked. Over before it starts. I really wish nobody said anything about the score last year. It means nothing when it's a mid-week game. needmoremoney 0 Posted October 28, 2006 It's baffling how neither team know what defense is...until I decide to stupidly take the over! Defense is good when there's a turnover in the oppoents redzone. Go UTEP!!!! Defense is good when there's a turnover in the oppoents redzone. Go UTEP!!!! Except when the go for it on 4-2 and dont make it . hahah
GiantsRule 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Defense is good when there's a turnover in the oppoents redzone. Go UTEP!!!! Yeah...right. I don't believe what I just saw with that fvcking sequence. 2nd straight trip to the red zone, and another 3. Naturally. I could have Over 24 and I'd still lose this game. phillybear 366 Posted October 28, 2006 Link to Edmonton game. I was late with the link, as I had to reboot my computer. My Audio Player wasn't working. Sounds like Edmonton just forced a fumble as Sask was driving...0-0 so far. Link to Edm station Also, this is the worst Tulsa has looked in any half this year. phillybear 366 Posted October 28, 2006 Please keep us updated on the Edmonton game I followed you for 2 units at -4. Since the turnover, punt, punt, and Edm ball. When Edm had the ball last, their WR dropped a 30 yard pass, and they had to punt. At least the starting QB for Edm, Ricky Ray is in there.
GiantsRule 0 Posted October 28, 2006 8:54 in the CFL game and still no score (so I guess nothing came of the fumble). Have -4 for 1st half; -7 for the game. Nothing I took tonight is looking even halfway promising.
phillybear 366 Posted October 28, 2006 I'll keep the play by play going, if you guys want. Besides, it's give me a chance to hit 15,000 posts that much faster. Edm first down at mid field. Tulsa cuts the UTEP lead to 13-6, and I will look at a 2nd H play. Columbus hits in hockey, Minnesota tied up in hockey. Rat's ass on hockey.

phillybear 366 Posted October 28, 2006 Edm and Sask dual possesion on a long pass. Edm first down at Sask 8 yard line. Delay of game Sask. 1and goal from the 4. TD Eskimos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was McClendon, who I think is the RB from NC St from last year. Edm 7-0. Adding Tulsa 2nd H (-7.5) for 2 units. Just asking Tulsa to win the game. They were -2 in turnovers in the first half. UTEP sucks huge ass in second halves this year. Sask punting Minnesota goes up 2-1.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Tulsa team must've been food poisoned. How the hell can they only score 2 field goals in one half? This was supposed to be a blowout. Look at the all their previous scores..... what gives?

Look at the all their previous scores..... what gives? Unreal. But I really like Tulsa on the 2nd H line. Their coaches are good at adjusting at halftime, UTEP coaches are not. Plus 2 turnovers in the negative doesn't help. I haven't written off Tulsa to cover this game yet. We just need Palmer to cough up the ball. I hope he can revert to his usual form. Basically, Tulsa played bad defense in the first half.
