Yeah, actually finding the body was just a formality. When you're looking for a guy who's been missing in the snow covered wilderness for days on end and you find his pants, it's pretty much over.

Yeah, actually finding the body was just a formality. When you're looking for a guy who's been missing in the snow covered wilderness for days on end and you find his pants, it's pretty much over.

 

They weren't the only pants he was wearing, apparently. He had taken extra clothing with him, from what I understand. He was trying to leave clues, or a way back to the car, or something.

 

To be clear, he only left the family on Saturday. So it had been about 3 days in the wilderness on his own.

 

Still mighty sad.

I have been thinking about this poor guy and his family all day .

They were lost about 50 miles from where I am. I have driven on the road they were lost on a couple of times. Even in the summer it is a bit rough, but it is impassable in the winter. What I really don't understand is why he didn't just walk back out on the road they came in on.

 

Very sad story.
