Yer mom 2 Posted February 1, 2007 Bump Any of you lil biotches sackin up and wagering? Id like to hear if anyone is taking the Colts. I still dont see how the line is 7. Im sure since im beating it to death ill be eating crow, but seriously.. Defense - Bears Special Teams - Bears Cannot stop the run - Colts Kicking game - Slight edge To Vinateiri, but Gould is as close to Vinateiri as it comes This is a recipe for a fockin easy cover for Da Bears. Bottom line, in big games like this Defense wins games, with Special Teams being the X-factor. The inconsistency of The Colts stopping the run keeps Manning off the field. Someone rebuttal! I saw a stat that said the Colt and the Bears have score the same amount of points this season. Combine that with their defense... bear down chicago
Jeremy 0 Posted February 1, 2007 If I was a betting man, I'd probably go with Chicago too, but it'd be damn hard to put my hard earned coin on the arm of Rex Grossman. I agree that defense tends to win these things. I'm not conviced Chicago is as strong on defense as many people think they are. Good, but no elite. Special teams could be the X-factor. I'm picking the Colts, but not by a full TD.
Big_Pete 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Yeah, you might be right Yer Mom.... may need to throw it all down on them.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson. All he has to do is manage the game and limit mistakes, I think he'll do that
D_House 0 Posted February 1, 2007 the colts already beat two better defenses in these playoffs. that line is ridiculous, but i think the colts have to be the favorite.
Yer mom 2 Posted February 1, 2007 ADDED BONUS The Colts already won their Superbowl, they finally got past The Pats. I think they'll let down big time here...

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson. All he has to do is manage the game and limit mistakes, I think he'll do that I don't know. It seems like he's either very good, or very bad. Dilfer and Brad Johnson were guys who were very good at limiting mistakes. Grossman, not so much. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't bet my life savings on his ability to limit mistakes. If he plays like he did against the Packers and Cardinals, you can kiss it all goodbye.

cribdog 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Uuuuh, I think you are forgetting something. The AFC was FAR superior to the NFC this year. The Bears barely beat a bad Seahawks team and then the Saints gave it to them with all of their mistakes. I think this will be a route for the Colts, something like 42-13. Manning finally won the big game he has needed his whole life, and now will play relaxed against a Bears D that is nowhere near where it was at the beginning of the year. Definately didnt forget about Conference strengths, just didnt feel the need to mention it because teams like Jax (who always give the Colts fits, but not dominant whatsoever) and the weak ass Titans exposed the Colts badly. If you cant stop the run....yer done.
p.man 7 Posted February 1, 2007 There is about 4 min left in the 4th qtr and the score is 23-20 Indi. Manning drops back to pass and he hits M.Harrison down the right sideline for a 42 yard Td hook up. 30-20 Indi. Game over!
cribdog 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Well, they seemed to have stopped the run vs KC and Baltimore, who both run it very well. NE doesn't count, because they don't have much of a running game, so they were concentrating on Brady. The Bears are more like the first two, as Rex doesn't scare you so you have to focus on stopping the run. How the hell are the Bears gonna stop Peyton and co? I just don't see it. gocolts 300 Posted February 1, 2007 There is a lot of talk about the defense winning the Superbowl. And I'm not saying their wrong. However, there is another factor that wins Superbowls. That factor is Great Quarterbacks win Superbowls. Elway Montana Young Farve Brady???? Bradshaw??? Aikmin??? Warner???

I think this game will be close for a while because I feel the Colts will be worrying about not turning the ball over. But after things settle down I do think Indi will find a way to win it in the end. I'm not a fan of either team, but I feel like rooting for Manning to win a Super Bowl. That factor is Great Quarterbacks win Superbowls. Elway Montana Young Farve Brady???? Bradshaw??? Aikmin??? Warner??? Theres a whole lotta average QB's in the other 20+ Superbowls who won as well. The MAIN factor here is that the number is +7...not 3.5 or 4...but 7. Some of the SB's that the above mentioned QB's won, it was by a margin less than 7. (With the exeption of my Niners, who blow everyone out ) But the powerful Cardinals and Packers did not expose the Bears????? I dont recall the Packers game, but the Cardinals game, yes they did a great job........at home, and still lost. (Special teams X-factor) I love Peyton, but I get this feeling that hes gonna have a Marino like career, huge numbers but lacking the big one. Much like it took them so long to get past the Pats, I think it will take them a few attempts to get the whole shabang. Also, history tends to repeat itself in big games...ie. Niners win everytime, Pats win most all, Cowboys win (I think everytime) Steelers most all, etc... Colts??? 18 pt favorites....lost JMHO Good stuff though! Lionsjunkie 1 Posted February 2, 2007 I think they'll let down big time here... Funniest thing I have heard in a long time....just because they finally beat the Pats it'll be a letdown With two weeks to prepare for the big game, you can bet the Colts have long forgot about the Pats, win or lose, it is definetly not a let-down situation. Teams just down let down when a SB is on the line....next bogus claim, bring it And, by no means I am backing the Colts....yet. I am still undecided as I primarily play dogs and the dogs have been very profitable in the SB, but it won't be because the Colts let-down I would agree with this if they played last week but with the 2 week break there will be no let down. Exactly....I didn't even get thhis far after I read that garbage.

Fock off priick, way to contribute, so you dont have an opinion other than the Colts probably wont let down because of the time off? I made a farily bold prediciton about the favored team, no such thing as a sure thing but still. Nice sugar coated approach you offered though, they can still lose and you can say that it "Wasnt a letdown"... Start following sports, you'll see "letdowns" happen pretty frequently after big games, its not unheard of...
