Big_Pete 0 Posted April 9, 2007 drink more water I assume you are on a diet, so naturally you will be hungry, but alot of the hunger feelings come when you are dehydrated (8 glasses of water daily isn't enough) GL

Brown Eyed Girl 1 Posted April 9, 2007 I had breakfast at 9AM. So, I should just drink water and not eat right now? It's 12:30. Why are you depriving yourself of eating? I understand you are trying to lose weight, but skipping meals is not the right way to go about it. In fact, skipping meals will most likely result in you over-eating for dinner. I suggest you pack yourself a lunch to take with you to work and be sure that you have plenty of healthy, low-fat, low-cal snacks in it that you eat throughout the day. And definitely drink a LOT of water in between. This will help keep you satisfied and keeping the snacks light will allow you to still remain on target with your weight loss goal. Big_Pete 0 Posted April 9, 2007 I had breakfast at 9AM. So, I should just drink water and not eat right now? It's 12:30. wait..... are you on a diet? if so, what type of diet? remember, unless you have a high metabolism (have more of a problem putting weight on, than taking it off), then your dietary tract will take between 4-6 hours to digest food.... if you eat now, it will basically start all over again, digesting the newest food first. That's why the "eat 5-6 meals a day to up your metabolism" usually only results in a person gaining 10 pounds in a month, and THEN their metabolism starts getting higher. My problem today is that I didn't pack a lunch, and I need to go get something. I really do NOT want fast food, so I am running through the different places near by and what they have.
