IGotWorms 4,058 Posted May 16, 2007 It was a terrible year for movies. I guess I'd have to go with The Constant Gardener?
kutulu 1,676 Posted May 16, 2007 It doesn't have to be new this year...just seen this year.

phillybear 366 Posted May 16, 2007 Nothing earthshaking. The better movies were... The Illusionist Beer Fest Talledega Nights The Departed I'll probably watch Borat and The Prestige over the next few days.
IGotWorms 4,058 Posted May 16, 2007 I would like to change my selection to Pan's Labrynth. That movie was awesome. The Departed and Blood Diamond were awesome flicks. IMHO I was stoked to see Blood Diamond, but I thought it ended up being just OK.

football_scooter 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Blood Diamond was excellent. I have heard Pan's Labirynth is spectacular though - i need to rent that soon.

I thought it was much better than The Illusionist, but some people disagree.
Saint Elistan 106 Posted May 16, 2007 Not many people saw it. You either love it or hate it. The Fountain.
football_scooter 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Oh - i just saw "Down in the Valley" with Edward Norton - it was terrific. Great acting, terrific story, deeply disturbing, and really plays the viewer's emotions. Without spoiling it too much, the characters start out as protagonist and antagonist, then switch places in a heartbeat. I HIGHLY recommend this movie - it's from 2005, but I just saw it last weekend.
edjr 6,580 Posted May 16, 2007 I recommend The Prestige. I thought it was much better than The Illusionist, but some people disagree. I liked them both and I like Norton and Bale, but Norton > Bale I like the story of the Illusionist better and it was much more believable. I saw Bale in Harsh Times a couple weeks ago and that was very good.
