redtodd 7 Posted May 25, 2007 There is a gas station on my ride home that is pretty busy because they are usually the cheapest on the way home, especially before you cross the border in WI. Many times, there is a line of cars waiting to get to a pump. I hate when people pump their gas, then go into the convenience store after and take 10 minutes to come back while they leave their car at the pump. There are empty parking spaces 20 feet from the pump in front of the store, but these dinks don't move it.

redtodd 7 Posted May 26, 2007 Small things bother you don't they? It does when I can't pump gas because the ###### in the SUV has to go in to get a donut and pack of smokes while she leaves her car blocking the pump so none of us can get gas. TWAT!!!! kozmiq 70 Posted May 26, 2007 I agree with you Red. And it is no small thing. Last year, this girl (who will remain nameless) and I pulled into just such an establishment. A small one where there was only one pump on each side of the island. There was a car sitting there already gassed up but the person wasn't inside buying Twinkies or Winstons. No, there were 3 girls (who just happened to be black) standing out front jaw-jacking with the cashier. After waiting a fair 2-3 minutes, I got out and asked if that was their car. They just looked at me and kept jaw-jacking. So after another few seconds I asked for them to move it so I could pull up and get gas. You'd have think I'd have asked them to sit on the back of the bus. They immediately began asking me if I was racist. And that they had just as much right to that spot as me. So I go, if you're through pumping gas, move up a spot so I can. I was told they would move when they were through doing business (which was jaw-jacking) Then another car backed up in front of theirs and somehow got the hose to reach his gas opening. Ok I'm mad but what are you going to do? Now the girls are ready to leave but they are blocked in. And boy do things now change. They tell me to back the fock up so they can get out. I told them I would when I'm through doing business. The guy in the front car finishes and tells me I can make the hose reach my car if I yank on it. So I do and damned if that hose doesn't reach my gas opening. We sat there for another 5 minutes just laughing at these idiot girls who were fuming that sh!t goes both ways. Thanks for letting me vent. This has been on my mind for quite some time.

It's called common courtesy and along with common sense, many people unfortunately seem to lack it.
sawilson 1 Posted May 26, 2007 Move to Oregon. You're not allowed to pump your own gas there. I love getting gas in Oregon for this very reason. When I moved to WA and pulled up to get gas I sat there and waited in my car like a stupid ass for someone to pump my gas. They never came.... LOL I go to Portland at least once a month for clients and try to have enough gas in my tank to get me there so they can pump it for me and it's a LOT cheaper than up here in WA. redtodd 7 Posted May 26, 2007 Yes, this bothers me. It's called common courtesy and along with common sense, many people unfortunately seem to lack it. It is mind boggling how inconciderate people can be. I think it is no big deal if the gas station is empty, I've done that on my late trips home after a gig. But at one of the busiest gas stations in the area with a line of cars going to the street? There should be a quick and painful punishment for these people. Take out the economy sized jar of vasoline that you always carry and smear some on their wiper blades.

Even if they are 5 cents a gallon cheaper. You only save a dollar total, if you get 20 gallons. All I am doing is suggesting that you use another gas station, if this is a regular problem. To me, it would seem the extra dollar would be worth it to not have to deal with these people. Where I live you can not leave the pump till you pay.

It is typically 10 to 15 cents more across the border (5 miles away). These are the only ones off the highway outside of the city. There are two of them across from each other. But both are usually full. I have no options.
TommyGavin 790 Posted May 28, 2007 I was in Jersey (Suxforme) and gas was 2.89 as opposed to the 3.19 I paid before my trip I filled up even though I was @ 3/4 tank. Oh and Jersey is also full serve.
edjr 6,580 Posted May 29, 2007 I hate how most Massachusetts gas stations don't have the little lock on the handle so you can walk away and still the gas comes out. you have to stand there and hold the trigger down
