Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Doesn't anything cool happen to anyone? I come here, share my wifes teets with you all. Tell you about scumbag parents that live in my town. Ask for prayers for my daughter and all you guys do is talk about crappy music, stupid bands and pick on The New Girl. Anyway,,, What is up everyone? I ended up buying the Harley I was telling you all about. The dude needed money and came down in price so much that I couldn't say no. Also, I am climbing Mount St. Helens next Monday. My daughter is doing pretty good. They have us doing therapy with her and she seems to be responding well.
remote controller 143 Posted June 6, 2007 I might be alone here................doubt it...........but your wifes teets were a spring HIGHLIGHT. I couldn't spot them in right field during the Ballgame though . Could we have another peek???

Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted June 6, 2007 Glad to hear the daughter is doing well. Nothing worse than have a child that is not feeling up to par (especially to that level).

wiffleball 4,789 Posted June 6, 2007 I put a thread out there addressed to you a while ago. How'd the operation go for your little girl? She doing better? Hope so. Been on my mind.
Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted June 7, 2007 I put a thread out there addressed to you a while ago. How'd the operation go for your little girl? She doing better? Hope so. Been on my mind. Well. Not as good as it could be,,, I guess. The surgeon at Childrens Hospital gave us a 30 day therapy option which ends June 18th. Basically, her problem is spinal fluid flowing properly through her neck. When she sleeps, she normally sleeps in a cannon ball position face down. This is causing fluid to build and not lubricate the upper spine. They have us checking her every 2 hours or as often as we can and positioning pillows to force her to lay flat on her back at night while sleeping. It seems to be going well. If no improvements are present at a follow up MRI on the 18th they want to do some surgery to release any fluid backed up and put in a halo thus forcing the neck position and preventing further back up. This is about the best possible way for me to explain it minus some medical terminology. She is only 2 and has down syndrome so when she has some neck pain she chooses to shut down rather than show pain. More like being really tired. She is sweet but sort of lives in her own little world. Doesn't like much stimulation and most people do not notice she has DS as here characteristics of the syndrome do not stand out. But when it comes to medical issues, they do. Fatigue, constant colds, etc.
RLLD 4,207 Posted June 7, 2007 My two year old daughter has been having problems with her upper neck. Thats rough. When you have kids, and they get sick or hurt (especially the really young ones) it just kills you. When I hear the TV news start to announce something bad happening to a little kid I turn it off... TheNewGirl 1,475 Posted June 7, 2007 HD, glad to hear that the surgery went well. Of course, my son is okay now, but he was born with CMT (congenital muscular torticollis). As a new mom having to take her newborn to physical therapy, it's not easy. Ever. Send her more hugs from me.
