I knew they would suck this year.

It's going to be a long year.

Yep, as a life long fan of 30 plus years, I'm used to these type years. Living down the road from Foxboro for ten years plus, I'll live vicariously through the PATS and my one fantasy team that is stocked with NE players (Brady, Welker, NE Def and Ghosty). Of course at the same time, busting on NE fans for supporting a team full of cheaters.

Yeah, the Giants could be in for a very, VERY long season. Bright side:

-High draft pick

-New coach (see ya Coughlin)

-Manning is starting to look like a real leader out there.

Down side:

<_<

Bill Cower will be your new head coach next year.

Write it down.

Yeah, that "here, take the ball but please don't hurt me" pass he threw to the Packer lineman in the 4th quarter was very impressive leadership material :music_guitarred:

That play confused me a bit as well. They called it a "botched screen", but I didn't see any Giants there. I think Eli was just trying to throw it away and he was quite unsuccessful. That said, his numbers so far this season:

523 yards

5 TDs

2 Int.

97.5 QB Rating

That was really the first bad play he's made in the first 2 games.

i don't think they're as bad as all think. was at the cowboys game and they could have beat us. y-day, they ran into a pretty solid packers team. that being said, that whole locker room is in turmoil - coughlin has to go, wouldn't be surprised to see him gone this week.

The Giants will give Coughlin more than 2 weeks to get this thing going. That said, if they're 2-6 or 3-6 midway through the season, the "Coughlin watch" will be on.

That play stuck out in my mind, but I actually thought Eli played pretty well for awhile....

i just don't see how the giants can wait 3 or 4 more weeks before they make a change at HC. the writing is all over the wall, the ceiling, the street, the team bus, and the concession stands - coughlin has lost this team and it's not going to get any better. you cut off the head now and you maybe able to salvage something out of this season. you wait 4 more weeks and you're looking at a high draft pick next year.

Just seems to me like Coughlin has no control over his players...

-- Shockey was acting like an a-hole the whole game. He missed two easy long catches and another easy short one. Then he catches an 8-yard pass and spikes the ball like he just got done climbing Mt. Everest.

Don't bother telling me that you can't coach Shockey and calm him down because it ruins his effectiveness because he cost the Giants so much in that game as it was.

--First two plays out of the gate and the Giants offense looks good. Plaxico Warren Sapps AJ Hawk with a cheap shot block in the back way away from the play that is essentially over. Yes, the Giants got the retaliation penalty, but that stuff just ruins your momentum, is unneccessary, and just fires up the defense.

--Even Toomer was doing jackass type of stuff. Attempting to do a cheap cut of Barnett and then getting mad when Barnett stands over his dumb ass when he is unable to take out his knees with punkass shenanigans. Then, getting a 15 yard drive-killing penalty for continuing to run his mouth to top it off.

I don't watch the Giants on a regular basis, but they look like a bunch of babies used to doing stupid stuff with no fear of repercussions from their coach.

I haven't heard a single player say a single good thing about Coughlin. I mean it's not like they (the owners) didn't know what they were getting. It's the SOS that he's pulled everywhere else. Mid-season coaching changes are pretty unusual but I'd say it's damn near a given he's not there next year.
