Phinfan0301 8 Posted September 28, 2007 Adding: So Miss 2nd H (+4)@-105 I'm a sucker for chasing my bets, I'll admit it. I think So Miss took Boise St's best shot early, turned it over, and still is down just 18 at the half. I don't see any reason why So Miss can't at least trade scores with Boise St in the 2nd Half. The So Miss passing offense looks decent, and finally Fletcher is running a bit for So Miss. Why the hell not? Philly...I have to respectfully disagree man. BSU's special teams and DEF have been playing fantastic tonight. THey let up at the end of the 1st half for that TD. Werent getting pressure on Young. The problem is BSU took out So Misses rushing attack early in the game and thats their strength...I just don't see them keeping up. BSU tends to lighten up in the 2nd half but I dont see So Miss keeping stride cuz of the national spotlight, BSU wont hold back...however they ARE on the 45 as i speak and just got a 1st down EDIT: Damn So Miss seems to have BSU's # right now. They passing real well...was thinking BSU would make the proper adjustments but they still aint gettin any pressure. Maybe you right.
Grind 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Im tellin you guys right now...LOCK of the week is Alabama .vs. FSU...and I am a FSU fan!!! Take the +2 while it lasts guys. Its absurd!!! Saban does NOT do well with losing, especially close losses like last week. Those players are showing up at Doak Campbell Stadium and their D is going to dominate. FSU will turn the ball over atleast 2 times and never catch back up. Because I am new to this forum I'm sure you guys wont give me much respect...so ill start posting my lock of the week...after some success perhaps ill start giving more insight on games. This one is a sure bet! Bama +2 The use of the word lock (especially all caps) is strictly prohibited in this thread
Grind 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Believe me, I respect all posters. I usually just read over the posts. Sometimes I'll throw out an opinion unsolicited, but I'll usually just wait until someone brings up my name in a post. Keep posting. You will get into the flow of our community. Don't worry about a non response to your post. That is par for the course. TD Arkansas St. Hell, they might still make a game of this. 31-21. At this point, I am hoping for OT. Two TD's wouldn't work. I already had written this one off in my book. EDIT: TD Ark State. Two more TD's is well within reach. Any way to watch this game? phillybear 366 Posted September 28, 2007 Ark St cuts it to 31-28. Boise down28-16, but covering the 2nd H. It's gonna be a long night of score board watching. Grind, I'm watching the GameTrax on Foxsports for the Ark St game. Memphis is punting again with 13 minutes to go.

In the betting world LOC* is setting yourself up to be ripped to pieces...but I was trying to express just how confident I feel about this one. Being a dolphin fan I have alot of knowledge of Nick Saban and have a tremendous amount of respect for the man. I lived in Tallahassee for 13 years and follow FSU even more now that I'm away...I just feel really good about this pick, but Grind - I'll keep that in mind from now on sir
rallo 136 Posted September 28, 2007 Indiana (+10.5) for 3 units probably a very safe play... although when the o/u comes out i think the 'sexy' pick will be under if it's at 36 or higher... i always bet the under for hawkeye games... usually comes through... bet with confidence

phillybear 366 Posted September 28, 2007 Akansas St takes the lead 35-31. But like most of everyone else, I need another score. 2nd H looks like a winner, anyway. Up 29-0.

Yer mom 2 Posted September 28, 2007 The problem is the little man inside me (course this is the same little jackass that thought New Orleans would bust out as well) sees this game similar to the Miami game last Thursday. Miami staggered, staggered, and staggered then on a Thursday night ESPN home game somewhat exploded. Boise has been struggling as well and I can see Ian Johnson going easily for 100+ yards and a few scores tonight even though So. Miss has a stout front seven. Boise is money at home, thats a given, and theyve had 12 days to get ready for this home game on ESPN Thursday night, I think theyll be ready to score tonight. Boise State TEAM TOTAL OVER 31. I'll be playing alot of team totals for the weekend, I already love about 5 of them and see some high scores this weekend. Good luck!! Dead ringer, love it when its this easy Small play remaining on SO. Miss +30, this backup QB best focking perform Good luck!!

phillybear 366 Posted September 28, 2007 Dam. It was interesting down the stretch, but Ark St won by only 35-31. Winner on the 2nd half, but loses for the game. Dam. I sucked with this pick. Let's see what So Miss can do with all the officials screwing them this game.

Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted September 28, 2007 GD FOCKING SH!T.... The only play wanted tonight, the Boise State team over 31 hits and I don't get the play in on time. Oh well,,, just venting so ignore me. Philly, I like UTEP based off some early in the season action. They beat New Mexico in a very tough contest. And they gave Texas Tech all they could handle. SMU got smothered by Tech. Did put up a good fight with TCU, but I think the team will NOT be playing to save the coaches job. UTEP is my pick to the conference USA west. Also, Trevor Vittatoe is the real deal at QB for UTEP. I will ride him on this game alone.

needmoremoney 0 Posted September 28, 2007 West Virginia -7 @ South Florida 2 units The most common argument that comes up for this matchup is that Mountaineers have no defense and has yet to face a ranked team this year. The Mountaineers have allowed 39.2 pts/game against 5 ranked teams since 2005, but 2 of those games lasted through multiple OTs. Three of those games include Louisville (44, 44) and Rutgers (41), who were putting up points against many other ranked foes. Looks bad right? Hang on.... They have 15 sacks this year behind the development of their linebackers Ivy, Magro and Williams. Something lit a fire under their defense after the first two games as they have only allowed 21 pts and 429 yds against Maryland and E. Carolina, who were 2006 bowl teams. Also, I do not buy into the Bulls offense and I don't see them putting up more than 28 pts against WVV. The Bulls scored 37 points against the Tar Heels, which was the most they have scored since the last time they played the Tar Heels. This is the same Tar Heel team that allowed E. Carolina (102nd in passing) to throw for 400+ yds and 3 TDs. I am not on the defensive bandwagon either as IMO they have not faced any real challenges this year. They beat Auburn (Cox's threw 2 Int), who will soon fall further in rankings. They have yet to face an exceptional ground attack team (yes, im bagging on Auburn again) which explains why their run D looks good on paper. Look below and you'll notice that Mountaineers passing game has also bene key to their high-powered offense and will continue to covert against the Bulls. Other stats that I am factoring in: > Mountaineers are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games. > Patrick White has a 71% completion rate w/ 6 TDs + 0 Int to Grothe's 60.4% and 4 TD + 0 int. > Offense - Mountaineers are averaging 47.2 pts/game and Bulls are averaging 30.3 pts/game > Defense - Mountaineers are giving 17.0 pts/game and Bulls are averaging 15.3 pts/game I believe Mountaineers will cover this game. GiantsRule 0 Posted September 28, 2007 I like WV as well tonight but I think the over is a better bet! Just waiting to hear Yer Mom's thoughts before I put anything down. I think WV is one of his "money" teams, so he might lean more towards the team total.
beefy1 0 Posted September 28, 2007 I believe USF is the more motivated team, they've never been ranked this high and want to keep it rolling. And for those who think the over is the best bet, I realize WV has a quick strike running game but the SF defense is also very quick. The last two years the scores have been USF won 24-19 last year and in 2005 WV won 20-13, neither game WV covered the spread and the games were both UNDER. I think USF has WV's number. South Florida +7 2 Units May also take the under for a unit if I'm feeling frisky later. GL all

Yer mom 2 Posted September 28, 2007 I think WV is one of his "money" teams Money because of thier predictability! Tonights play: After looking at every angle of this game, only one play really jumps out. Id be absolutely shocked if South Florida did not cover the +4 in the first half. One thing is for certain, they'll come out fired up for their Friday Night home game against a giant in WV. My concern about South Florida for the game is will WV do what they do to just about everyone, adjust at the half and steamroll you in the 2nd. WV is just way too stacked with offensive playmakers now with Devine doing what hes been doing lately in addition to White, Slaton and Reynaud. South Florida cetainly has the capability to stop WV though just as they did last year, very fast and talented on defense. Will definately be making a play at the half as well. South Florida +4 1st half Good luck!!

I picked up 12 Units last night on the Phillies and Memphis ( $1200.00 ) and had a great day at the stock market today. I would love to take the Phillies again Tonight, But a Smart Bettor would never take odds at 250 for 100 so that being said my Picks for Tonight! I'm taking the much better defense getting 7 pts on a strong home field. Toronto has played very well except for at British Columbia. They have really been playing well since QB Michael Bishop came back from injury. Even RB Robert Edwards has been effective lately. They still have a very good pass defense, which is the strength of Edmonton's offense. Edmonton beat Montreal the last two weeks, but I don't put stock into that, as Montreal is racked with injuries. Taking the points with the better team. Good luck to all.
