nospk 230 Posted October 12, 2007 They are selling off items from the old Tiger Stadium in Detroit. I picked up 2 of the actual seats for $295 including tax & shipping via UPS. They will be shipped to my house in mid-November. Now I need to figure out where to put them. They're also holding an auction where you can bid on all kinds of items from the stadium including urinals, lockers, turnstiles, you name it.

Confused 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Good deal ! All I got from Cleveland Municipal Stadium is a bolt, some cement chips, dirt from the field and some parts from the dug out phone that they used to call the bull pen.

hoytdwow 202 Posted October 12, 2007 I believe they're planning to do this with a bunch of old seats from Fenway, although all the "Red Sox Nation" jackoffs will bid the seats up beyond belief so regular fans won't have a chance at them.
Meglamaniac 754 Posted October 12, 2007 Make bar stools out of them or a porch swing. http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/pac_ctnt_988...6_62710,00.html
nospk 230 Posted October 12, 2007 Make bar stools out of them or a porch swing. http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/pac_ctnt_988...6_62710,00.html I like the porch swing idea, thanks Megla. I have been thinking about building some kind of a platform to attach them to, or else fastening them down to my deck, but those are just rough ideas so far. I also thought they would be cool to use to sit & play video games in with 2 people.

BMoney 0 Posted October 14, 2007 rats..i find this out NOW? i couldve given myself a bday gift.... what did they do with the flagpole? did they cut it into pieces? it does make it sturdy since they added brackets to the bottom..though that kinda kills the authenticity of the piece..i like it though.. i have seats from the old st louis arena for hockey... i wont like seeing them tear this down... (anyone bid on a rat? )
