Trade Offer for LT

Recommended Posts

(Modified PPR League - bonus pts for +100yd rush/rec, +300 passing)

The LT owner is on the bubble of making the playoffs and would consider an offer for LT. I have offered him Addai, Keith, MBIII & Gates for LT & Andre Johnson (who has been hurt for him most of the year). He almost took the same offer earlier (minus the Gates & AJ part of the offer)

Am I giving up too much?

Man that is a lot of players. However, I don't think you are giving up too much. I mean even if you said Gates and Johnson were a wash then you are basically giving Addai/Keith(basically a handcuff)/Barber for LT. As far as I am concerned I would still rather have LT/Johnson (unless this is a seasonal redraft league). If this is a redraft league it becomes much more even and I might actually like the other side. Good luck and thanks for seeing mine.

It is a seasonal redraft league. We also can play 3 recs regardless of position. I would rather play LT w/ Bengals RB than choose between RBBC's for Colts & Cowboys. Gates has been just average (due to Rivers).

This owner had Gates last year and wouldn't part with him so i am banking on those emotions. I wouldn't want to start Gates & LT together. I just want to plug in LT every week.

My estimation of their total remaining fantasy value:

LT is worth 140 pts above a typical waiver wire RB pickup or border-line cuttable player.

AJohnson is worth 20 pts above WR.

Gates is worth 55 pts above TE.

Addai is worth 70 pts above RB.

Keith is worth 5 pts above RB.

MB3 is worth 70 pts above RB.

You are giving up 40 pts too much. However, you would be concentrating your points into fewer players, and you then may be able to do some good waiver wire pickups that hit the mark. There is a lot of time left to pack your roster with really good players that come and go.

I would do it.

I also think you're giving up to much. Andre Johnson is taking a while to come back, and there is no guarantee he'll pick up where he left off. See who else he has that you want?

With Marvin hurting i'm not sure you can lose Gates, however anytime you can get LT you do it.

If it were me I would have to make the deal always feel better knowin ya got LT.

Does he have another WR you could get instead of AJ? He's missed alot of time and who knows what he will do when he gets back...

Good luck

Seems like a bit much to give up. If you can I would try and hold on to Gates. Would you let go Addai/Keith/Barber for LT? I see that as being a better deal for you since AJ is hurt and who knows if he will be the same when he gets back. Even tough you would prolly stil be overpaying, I see it as keeping Gates is worth it.

As tempting as it is to get LT..........the loss of Gates & the gain of a questionable Johnson is too much IMO,,,,,I wouldn't do the deal

Thanks for the reply...it's a bit much but why don't you see if you can keep MB3 and have him keep AJ and just do Addai/Keith and Gates for L.T....he may bite...
