NorthernVike 2,102 Posted November 19, 2007 Steve "retired" about 8 years ago. What was the story behind that? Drugs? Booze? Childmolestation?
fricker66 93 Posted November 19, 2007 What was the story behind that? Drugs? Booze? Childmolestation? The producers thought he had gotten too old. He apparently is a musician now.

IAMWood 6 Posted November 19, 2007 Steve. Joe. Blues Clues is a good one for the kids. The TiVO was repeating when I turned on the tv this morning, Joe was teaching how to build with blocks, some really good basic stuff. My son builds better with blocks than I ever did, I think a lot is natural in him but I see where he got some help that explained things better than I could. I have much more respect for blue's guys than The Wiggles. those dudes are whack. But makin some $$$. My son doesn't get to watch Wiggles or Teletubbies. How come Blue, the dog, can't talk, but the soapdish, salt and pepper shakers, shovel and pail,etc... can? speech impediment?
fricker66 93 Posted November 19, 2007 Also, I saw "Joe" for the first time in a few years yesterday, and he has put on about 40 pounds. The kiddie show business must be paying OK.
porkbutt 897 Posted November 19, 2007 How come Blue, the dog, can't talk, but the soapdish, salt and pepper shakers, shovel and pail,etc... can?speech impediment? that's a great focking question. i guess if that lil bastard could talk, the whole premise of the show would be shot though. magenta's owner

shovelheadt 72 Posted November 19, 2007 How come Blue, the dog, can't talk, but the soapdish, salt and pepper shakers, shovel and pail,etc... can?speech impediment? There are Blue's spin offs where Blue can indeed talk.
IAMWood 6 Posted November 19, 2007 There are Blue's spin offs where Blue can indeed talk. Yeah the blue's room crap was total crap. The show that spun it into was way whacked 1950's bad stuff. My son was banned from that too. Don't think it is around anymore.
Me_2006 14 Posted November 19, 2007 A pink snail appears in each episode three times as an extra challenge for older kids. That is creepy. Why/How do you know this?
jackie sherrill 0 Posted November 19, 2007 of all the programs my kids have watched over the last 10 years, Blue's Clues with Steve was one of the more enjoyable ones. My son loved it. He had the handy dandy notebook, thinking chair, all that stuff. Joe is not near as good as Steve IMO. Blue's Clues> the following, which all drove/drive me crazy: Power Rangers (except for the hot Pink and Yellow rangers) Teletubbies Jimmy Neutron Fairly Odd Parents Bob the Builder
