edjr 7,059 Posted November 19, 2007 One of the few athletes that actually means what he says. I still think last year was the exception to the rule, but time will tell.
patweisers44 874 Posted November 19, 2007 12.5 per year for mike lowell is pretty much why baseball sucks anymore. Thats not Red Sox hate or Mike Lowell hate.
cgod 0 Posted November 19, 2007 Glad to see him back. I think his presence in the clubhouse is a great thing to have. Also, while his hitting may have been a bit of an exception don't forget that his early season fielding was also.

mighty_thor 115 Posted November 19, 2007 I agree with edjr that he had a career year last season and is unlikely to repeat it. But he is an excellent fielder and a good clubhouse guy (from what i hear). I think their starting pitching will only be better next year and they have a few guys like Drew and Lugo who should be better than they were last season. Add in an ellsbury and I think this Red Sox team has a chance to be BETTER than last season. The only thing that worries me is that Manny and Ortiz are getting older.
