Baseball Hall of Fame class of 2008 2:00pm today

Recommended Posts

I just went back and looked at his career stats. He's definitely not a no-brainer, but I think he'll eventually get in. Very good RBI numbers.

While i disagree with you on Jim Rice, your statement about No-brainer to me is the definition of a HOF'er or not. I think if you have to debate in your own mind whether he is or not, then he isnt a HOF...a little simplistic maybe, but....

i was usually against rice..but with the roid era coming in..if he was that bad to the press..(and who says the press doesnt deserve it?)...

if thats ALL hes ever done...who cares?....

in a way...i think its better to be like this for 10 years...guys get voted in and forgotten about...(unless they are cal, tony, ozzie etc)....

but every jan, we all talk about rice and go over his numbers....

plus itll be fun to hear jims speech and have him with a vote..

Andre Dawson needs to be in the HOF. I will be pissed if they hold OBP against him when during his era that stat was an afterthought and not hyped to heaven as it is now. The rest of his resume is worthy of being in the HOF.

No dominant players up in 2008.

Rumors are Rich "Goose" Gossage will make it.

Jim Rice is the next best candidate.

LET'S GO JIM ED RICE!!! about time this guy gets into the HOF!!

The HOF is only going to mean something for a couple more years before roid heads start getting in.

One year later, but my man Jim Ed Rice made it.

Assuming Rice gets in next year, it could shape up to be 2 of the most memorable HOF speechs ever.

Jim Rice will speak for 90 seconds and Ricky Henderson will speak incoherently for 30 minutes.

Seriously, will there be an interpreter for his HOF speech?

Bump.

I'm going to protest that no white players were elected to the HOF this year....bunch of racists. Black balling McGwire because he was white. I'm calling Rev. Al...

Black balling McGwire because he was white. I'm calling Rev. Al...

McGwire didn't get in because of color, but it wasn't white. It was the silver needles he kept plunging into his ass.

Nobody can prove Henderson and Rice didn't use....but that isn't the argument....the white man is never getting into the HOF again.
