Happy Confederate Heroes Day

Recommended Posts

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its succulent chickens, with its governor having his lips dripping with barbeque sauce; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to pull themselves off of welfare and stop becoming a burden to society.

fixed that for you <_<

My son was just asking me about ancestry.   So I started looking up descendants from findagrave.com

Apparently my great-great-great grandpa Samuel (1837-1913) has info on the site that shows his enlistment with the confederate army.   It also showed he was engaged in the siege of vicksburg.

I also feel like I can trace additional family lineage, also five generations removed to the confederate army.

I'm sure they were fighting for states rights, though.

Spent many long nights in Vicksburg casinos when I was first putting card counting into practice.  Before I lived in MS we spent a night in Vicksburg on our way to Dallas when I was a kid.  My dad got sick that night and walked around in the Confederate cemetary there to try and walk it off I guess.  Stayed sick the whole trip.  By the time we drove home he had to lie in the back seat.  Ended up his appendix burst that night and he kept on going through the trip til we got home and damn near died.  He was a pretty tough old guy.  But lots of memories of being in those casinos way too late and seeing a ton of sad sights.

God Bless those Confederate Heros who fought for State rights and stood up against the evil North who invaded the South under the false guise of "slavery" that was already dead in the South.

Sherman and his band of rapists, pillagers, and arsonists should all rot in hell.

And remember that it was Sherman who once said that no white man would ever lie down his life for a Negro. The war was about Slavery? My ass it was!

Remember that Pedocrats when going through your FAKE history books.

No Confederates in my family tree thankfully, but the Canadian side has more bad guys than good guys from the Revolutionary War, something I wasn't terribly keen on learning.
