I don't get it. Are you trying to say that 'butt' is a food that one may choose to eat instead of corned beef?

Correct!

It's a better cut of meat.

By 'Butt' do you mean like the butt end of a roast, or actual human ass?

Porky Butt.

Look, if you don't like Corned Beef, you probably haven't had it cooked correctly.

As for the apparent fact that you'd prefer to be an axxmuncher, well, I wouldn't brag....

it ain't "butt", as in ass

it's butt as in butt end of the shoulder.

you are either eating a "smoked shoulder" or a "pork butt" (sometimes called the "picnic", both are the piece further down the front arm, not as good a cut as the shoulder as it is missing the flavorful blade portion).

either way, your pork shoulder or pork butt is infused with liquid to add volume and weight to the product and yield higher sales prices from the retailer. It's a slab of deli ham really.

only a fool would choose pork shoulder or pork butt over a true piece of flat cut beef brisket deliciously corned for for enjoyment during the most festive of holidays.
