cribdog 0 Posted September 24, 2008 NCAA: 30-24-1NFL: 21-16 Cleveland +3.5 Dare I say, a must win for Cleveland and Derek Anderson? Isn't it a must win for Cincinnati and Carson Palmer as well?
WhiteWonder 2,202 Posted September 25, 2008 Isn't it a must win for Cincinnati and Carson Palmer as well? staying the hell away form that game except maaayybey the over... but either team could put it together and yea its must win for each at 0-

GreatGray 2 Posted September 25, 2008 I'd be very confident betting on Green Bay and fairly confident with Arizona to beat the spread. GB is undervalued having been whooped by Dallas (although they are now without Harris), but they're still solid; they're up against Griese. Jesus. AZ has been solid on both offense and defense. They just lost and want some blood...Favre will be good, but he's still learning and they don't look nearly as tight as the Cardinals. Who's stopping Fitzgerald and Bolding? The Cardinals defense is underated. The rest of the bets are sketchy, in my opinion. I might bet on Cleveland, with Anderson's job on the line against the ever-disappointing Bungles. jmueller44 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Right now I'm leaning the UNDER on these 3 in-division games: Denver -9 vs Kansas City (46.5) This game is always a fight. The teams now each other well. Sure DEN should win this game, but I don't even think it is by 9. Sure DEN offense is great, and their DEF is poor, but when you know the opponent, the scores go down. Houston vs Jacksonville -9 (42) HEAVY on the UNDER Both teams are looking to RUN. Can they? I just don't see it. I also like HOU +9 in this one. San Diego -7 vs Oakland (45) OAK at home in the divisional matchup, with their DEF playing really hard, keeps this score lower than most would think. As of now, I have not laid a wager on any NFL this week. But there you have my UNDER leans for the week. Probably won't end up better all 3, but I see myself getting action on two of the above. GLTA!!!
WhiteWonder 2,202 Posted September 25, 2008 along with single bets I already listed i put a 3 team parlay in Denver -10 SD -8 Buffalo -8 i like all to cover... 2 units to win 10.

art schlichter's bookie 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Early leans Cin/Cle OVER 44.5 Always got to look at the Over in the Battle of Ohio. Bengals showed some life last week and Brownies are due to have a good offensive game after getting some good defenses in previous weeks. Tenn -3 Tenn has a super defense and is emerging as a real sleeper to me. I like Minnesota but just can't see Gus Frerotte going on the road and winning this game. SD -7 Oakland is one-dimensional. SD will stack the line and Rivers is playing out of his mind right now. Only thing that worris me is the short week coming off the MNF game. NO/SF Over 48 There is a reason that this is the highest OVER on the board this week--New Orelans has no defense and Mike Matrtz is coming to town. SF has a better defense than in previous years but NO has some great playmakers. Wouldn't be surpised by a 35-27 type game here at all.
GobbleDog 822 Posted September 27, 2008 GobbleDog's LOCK OF THE WEEK ytd: 1-2 Green Bay +1.5 = money in the bank! Once again I'll be betting against the 3 stooges - Gruden, Griese and Graham. This time they're at home facing a solid Packers team. If I don't get this pick right, I'll eat my hat.

phillybear 365 Posted September 28, 2008 Chomp Chomp Bechewy Chomp In betting circles, the word "Lock" is a dead nut mush. It's the biggest jinx word in existence. If I would have read this thread more carefully, I would have passed on betting on GB. Gobbledog, please never use that word again. It's the worst word in the English language. Screw the "N word". The "L word" is more damaging. Now, if anyone uses "Game of the Year", I will have to do a whole new lecture. Don't do it.

JackARoot 2 Posted September 29, 2008 Skins +11 looks pretty good to me. Get way dowown!!! This is the first NFL wager I've made in years. Also, when I saw that my fantasy opponent's QB-Carson Palmer was questionable due to his right elbow, I went ahead and took the Browns on the money-line +130 and under 45 points total. OGAR 0 Posted September 29, 2008 WOW!! Thats all I can say. I stated in the CFB thread that I have done well playing the Home dogs so far this season and done real shitty in NFL. So this weekend, what do I do but play three road favs and lose all three. Cincy, Wisky and Fresno. I missed yesterdays a.m. NFL games as I was taking old lady to LAX. Got home right before k/o and realized SD/ Oak have hit the over in their last 10 or so games. SO... after getting stuck about 20 units on Sat, I made my biggest bet of the season (10 unit play) on SD over 45. With 1:30 to play my buddy and I both looked at each other and sed, we are focked. Low and behold, LT is god!! I'm a die hard Bears fan and as I expected got about 4 calls from my other bros and they all wanted philly. I took all their bets and with the goal line stand... WINNER!!! Lost about 1 unit in juice this weekend. Some how, some way.

They have enough film on Flacco to put him in the morgue. Pitt -6 for 5 units Why would you say that about the browns? What do they have to do with this game? With most of the money on Pittsburgh today, and tout services all over Pittsburgh, I'm going to do a small fade on the underrated Baltimore team in an ugly game where there won't be many points scored, going contrarian. Looks too easy to take Pittsburgh. I may or may not add the under, but probably won't, as totals don't excite me in general. Good luck to all.
