plasma george 52 Posted January 8, 2009 Holy crap....anybody see the NFL Network Replay of the Baltimore/Miami game ? The NFL Films' shots of the stands really showed how many empty orange seats there were. And I'm not talking about nose-bleed sections, these were lower level. Easily HALF the seats were empty. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Yet the NFL has cities (NY, Phila, Chic, GB,) that you can't buy a seat for years on a waiting list. Wouldn't it greatly benefit the NFL to move that team to a bigger city ?
Larry David 20 Posted January 8, 2009 Wouldn't it greatly benefit the NFL to move that team to a bigger city ? What does the size of the city have to do with it? Miami has a population four times the size of Green Bay.
BMoney 0 Posted January 8, 2009 they should repaint the seats so that they dont show up so well on tv.....
Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 8, 2009 they should repaint the seats so that they dont show up so well on tv..... Whoever did the Titans stadium was a moron too. Made the Club seats red. Well, the club seats are expensive and the goody goodies don't always show up...especially if there is bad weather. And if its cold, the pansies are inside at the bar rather than actually out watching the game.
Busted by the Feds 9 Posted January 8, 2009 Were those empty seats seen on tv before the game or after the rout was on ?

nobody 2,071 Posted January 9, 2009 In warm weather cities, there is usually more to do than go to sporting events. You guys really think Green bay would sell out every game if there was something else to do anywhere in the area.

The size/population of a city don't mean squat. Thanks for all the information, but I mis-spoke.....I meant large "NFL fan base", not so much larger in population. Just seemed fockin pothetic. And the empty seats were throughout the game...it was 79degrees, but I don't recall NFL stadiums in the Northeast having trouble selling out in Sept when it's warm. You guys really think Green bay would sell out every game if there was something else to do anywhere in the area. Yeah I do - Those people in that area are just crazy for football. Amazing that a area with less than 20% of what many of these cities have in terms of population can sell out a game with full attendance in -10 degree weather even in a losing season an a city with 5-10X as many people in 80 degree weather manages a half empty stadium when there team is in the playoff hunt.
